Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum of this institute is very good. The college changes its courses every year to adjust to the changing global industry and help the students to get better jobs. The courses are well oriented and properly tested by the professors. Professors use case studies, and guest lectures to provide more info to students.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities to all students. It is done by student led placement committee and students may also find thier own internship if they need. Companies like Morgan stanley, reliance and other companies were the prominent internship providers.
Placement Experience
All Students are eligible to sit for placements if they have cgpa above certain limit. For the last year, all the students who were eligible have been placed. 100% placement, my plan after PGDM is to be placed in a well known company and improve my skills. Average placements are about 7 lakhs and highest may be 17 lakh
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are a bit high like all b-schools as we get higher placement packages, my fees were about 11.5 lakhs as it also included hostel fees. The college also provides scholarships to all students based on thier marks if they have above 70% in 10th 12th and degrees.
Campus Life
The college has several clubs and all activities are organised by these student led clubs. The flagship event, naisence, was conducted successfully last year and it was fully organised by student led committees. The college also celebrates different cultural programs and sports programs
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility of SDMIMD is wonderful, everyone gets single rooms with shared bathrooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is average in mess. All students have to stay in the hostel as it is a residential program.
Admission
The eligibility for this college is above 50% in degree. You may have any degree, engineering or bcom or bba. Any entrance exam like MAT, CAT must be taken. The application forms can be found in the college website. Exams are conducted after a trimester(endterms) and in between trimesters (midterms) quizzes are also conducted. The institute also values presentations and class participation by students.
Faculty
Sree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development is a great institute to pursue PGDM, the faculty here are well qualified and have many years of work experience / teaching experience before working here. Classes typically have less than 70 students and are not crowded at all, the professors are extremely helpful and can be visited at any time to clear doubts.
Interview Experience
The college had an interview process before my admission, it was an offline interview at my hometown even though i am from kerala. The staff arranged an interview at a location near my hometown. The admission process was resume shortlisting and interview. I prepared with the help of coaching centers and online research.
