Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

MBBS curriculum in all colleges of india is based on Curriculum provided by NMC. It has it's own pros and cons which is a rather different topic. However college can improve college hours and attendance methods to give students some freedom on their studying methods themselves. Exams are well organised in SPMC and they are maybe the reason of good academic and clinical performance of SPMC graduates all over the globe.

4

MBBS is a 5.5 year course in which 4.5 years include college studies and University examinations followed by 1 year of internship. Internship is done in hospitals associated with SPMC BIKANER, mainly the PBM hospital. Monthly stipend is around 23000 at present. Internship includes working in clinical postings in the wards and opds in which you have to treat patients.

Ward Postings start from 2nd year itself. However after the part-2 of 3rd year, paid internship starts in which you are obliged to attend clinical posting. Stipend in internship is around 23000 pm. Then JRship is also an option in the college for earning for mbbs graduates. PG students earn well around 80000 per month, however PG cutoff is also very high in spmc. Taking into consideration of all the earning options, the working hours and work is very high compared to the money given.

Tution fee is 60,800 ? yearly. Admission fees (once) - 17700 ? Caution money (once) - 7500 ? Sports fee (yearly) - 14700 ? Infrastructure development & welfare fund (yearly) - 7500 ? However, tution fee is exempted for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, MBC, Girls Students.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual Event of SPMC is named 'wave'. It is a 5 day event including cultural events, literary events, garden events, games, sports, DJ nights, etc. Some other events are also organised from time to time such as freshers party for fresher batch, farewell for intern batch, dandiya night, new year eve, holi celebrations, etc. Sports events are organised very commonly throughout the year. Literary club, cultural club, etc are also functional.

Admission

MBBS Eligibility - Class 12th with PCB. Admission by NEET In 2022 645 marks and around 5500 all india rank was the cutoff in second round state counselling. However, Cutoff scores and ranks are subject to change every year and are influenced by a variety of factors including NEET exam difficulty level, candidates appearing, candidates ahead of you in rank being in the same state & getting benefit of the same state quota (85% of total seats). Mopup round and stray vacancy round are highly luck based and should not be used to consider cutoff of any government medical college.

Faculty

Academics in SPMC, Bikaner is one of the best among all the other colleges of Rajasthan, considering either clinical or non-clinical subjects. Professors are well qualified Doctors and PGs of their respective branches. Teaching methodologies include smart boards, ppt explanations & blackboard teaching. Laboratories are well equipped and have enough staff for proper help and explanation. PBM hospital is the largest hospital in the area and hence, there are sufficient cadavers in Anatomy dissection halls. All Departments have a number of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, PG Students, etc. Which leads to very good teacher: student ratio. Professors are available in the departments and we can contact them in the college hours. They are supportive and helpful for those who deserve.

Interview Experience

3.5

Admission is solely on basis of NEET scores. After neet results and ranks are out, counselling is started. In the counselling, various rounds occur among which 1st and 2nd round are the main ones. 85% of college seats are allotted by state quota. The state counselling round-1 is online, however round-2 takes place offline in RUHS dental college, jaipur.

We became eligible for placement after internship. Till internship,we don't have any choice to work anywhere else unless your family own a hospital. After internship,we can join a hospital as mbbs doctor or we can opt for examination like NEET pg or UPSC CMS or M.O. Highest package is 1-2 lakhs per month Lowest package is 50000 per month Percentage of students getting placement -80% My plan is to qualify neet pg and get a high ranked course .
