Remarks

The exam schedule is really tight. The examinations are not well spaced with exams. There is a lot of unwanted intrusion of faculty in student matters. The academics is really good and the patient out patient department is also quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course duration is 4.5 years. The curriculum is well balanced. Regular practicals and clinical postings in all the clinical subjects is given. Semester exams are held every six months i.e biannually

Placement Experience

3

The placements and job opportunities are quite good. My college does provide an internship of a period of one year. During this internship we are posted in different departments like internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics. The stipend received per month is between 20,000 and 25,000 INR.

College Events

2.5

There are lot of festivals celebrated in my college. Since the people are from different parts of the country, there are a lot of cultures and different types of people that live in this campus. Festivals like navratri, onam, holi, diwali are celebrated. Student festivals are also organized every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government college the fee structure is not too much. Lower middle class students can afford it. The other expenses, other then fee are that of mess which is around 35,000 annually. The mess fee is mandatory.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't there is any such scholarship or loan facility offered by my college. Since it is a government college the fee structure is not too much. Lower middle class students can afford it. Otherwise there's no such scholarship/loan that I know of.

Campus Life

4

The sports facilities are really good. There are grounds and courts for many sports. There's a dedicated sports complex. There are clubs for different societies like Literary, Drama, Dance, Sports. Intra and Inter College festivals are conducted once in a year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are good. They have been built within the last 10-15 years, therefore they are still quite good. But, regular renovation and repainting is done every 5 years perhaps. Water and electricity are available 24 hours. The furniture provided is of good quality.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network or the network among senior students is good. Though it is difficult to stay in touch on a personal level, still people stay connected via social networking sites. Staying connected is really helpful in the longer run.

Admission

One needs to appear in the AIIMS entrance exam. If one makes to the merit list, he/she can appear for the counseling. You can apply for your preferred college in the counseling. If you get a seat in a college, you can take admission

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty is good and competent. The faculty has been brought in from different central and state medical institutes from all over the country. The faculty is friendly with students and really supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the MBBS course curriculum as highly relevant and comprehensive. It covers essential subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology in great detail. The curriculum also addresses a variety of specialties, providing a broad understanding of different areas of medicine. Overall, the course prepares students for the challenges of modern medical practices. The exams are conducted on the yearly basis which are conducted by university. Although internal exams are also conducted by the college which also helps in testing are knowledge and level of preparation.
