Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose MBBS profession because of peer pressure. My whole family is in Dr line, so I had no choice but to choose this profession, but I don't regret it now because it is a noble profession and it pays quite a lot than other profession. Although it takes some time to get paid well, in the meantime or other friends get to their jobs and are paid very well before us, but overall it is a good profession

Internships Opportunities

2

Our hospital has just recently started, so there is no internship available at our hospital, but you can always go for peripheral regions like a primary healthcare centres where you can do your internship. Our seniors also go to other peripheral hospitals for their internship, but it is not friendly process because they work for 89 hours and they also have to travel back to the hostel, so it is not quite good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees varies for every student for a general category student. The fees is approximately 1,30,000 and for My category is 10,500 and it is quite affordable for annual fees and also the hostel is included in it. The government has provided many scholarship schemes for students, so it can help in their fees and student can claim it through government websites

Campus Life

3

The campus life is good, although there are not very places, we are where we We can play like the campus is small, so there is no place for making of cricket or football grounds and they have built many non-useful structure such as gardens instead of making football basketball grounds which would be helpful for students, but in looks of infrastructure, the campus is very good looking

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel is very good as compare to other government medical College. We are equipped with separate toilets and bathrooms in every room. Also, there are coolers and filters on every floor. So we don't need any other thing for our water supply The hostel security as is also quite good and it is more strict for girls hostel, but overall experience is good in this hostel and it is also quite affordable

Admission

I got admission in this college through NEET exam. It is a competitive exam in which there is a paper of 720 marks and you have to score more than the expected cut-off and then you will get a seat in a good government medical College or else you will have to go for a private or deemed medical College, which is which is not very affordable for a middle-class family.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty members are not so good in teaching. They are good in their specific subjects. But if we ask extra outside question, then they find it difficult to answer. Also the department is is very arrogant and we don't have enough Faculty members

Other Applied Colleges

Government Medical College and Hospital | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Cutoff was higher than expected

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
