An Average College with some Pros and Cons.

The curriculum is fairly relevant with the real world scenario and is continuously evolving. The current curriculum for Data Science was developed after extensive discussions with the students to suit their needs. But lack of trained faculties to teach such specialised subjects is a threat. The exams are held at regular intervals and proceed in a smooth manner.

Internship opportunities are negligible. Students have to rely on off campus opportunities and referrals to land into internships. Here, their is indeed great scope of improvement on the side of the Training & Placement Cell.

Students are eligible to get placements once they are in the final year of their course. For 2024 Batch, the highest package was from Carwale which offered 9 LPA for software engineer and testing roles. Hexaware is a mass recruiter that visits every year. On Campus placement percentage is low but students benefit from the Industrial ecosystem offered by the City of Indore. Average package is around 4 LPA and it has been stagnant since years.

Fees slightly fluctuates form 1st to 4th Yr. and at the moment is around 5 lakhs for the entire course. Scholarships from the State Government is the primary source of financial aid for meritorious students as well as those coming from socially backward classes.

Students are encouraged to establish, run and engage in various social and technical clubs providing them a chance to participate in non-academic extra curricular activities. Library is big enough to accomodate large number of students. Classrooms are largely traditional. A range of sports amenities are available on campus, but their availability is limited as the facilities are shared with the IPS School as well.

Admission is via the MPDTE counselling based on JEE Scores and the cutoff is fairly low. It is quite easy to take admission here. Reservation benefits as per government norms is applicable. Improvement is needed while communicating with the students and parents while putting a stop to the false promises made by the institute regarding placements and academics while the admission process is on.

Faculties from Data Science Department are very cooperative and approachable at all times. They ensure that the students' issues are effectively addressed while managing the department with limited Resources. But the same isn't true for every department.
