THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE JOINING SRM COLLEGE

The course which I opted was really comprehensive and has added a great value in my life and the teaching methods of the faculties were amazing irrespective of the communication barrier. The exams pattern were very nice there were monthly small tests, quarterly tests, half yearly and obviously final year assessment so that the students is connected with the syllabus very well.

The campus placementa were really good. In my time most students got placed however the package varied accordingly. Starting from small companies to companies like Google came for placements, the college had a very nice application for all this process so that student can check everything on their smartphones.

The fees is quite high as compared to other private colleges but if you clear their entrance exam with good marks you can opt for scholarship. Other forms of scholarship includes poor financial condition of the family.

The social life is excellent in the college as their are so many students with different backgrounds who come together. Their are so many eating joints inside campus their are two canteens for the students. Also xerox shops, shopping stores, ATM, parking stands etc make it even more helpful and easy.

I opted for a very nice hostel facility, to be frank. The hostel was cleaned every day and the wardens were also frank. However, if you feel hot and cannot bear the heat of Chennai you have to opt for an AC hostel which is also available but the expense is very high compared to the normal hostel.

You can fill up the form before your 12th result is announced and the dates of examination, dates of admission form out, and application fees all are well given properly on the college website. So need to worry about missing out on information. Entrance exam was of moderate difficulty level, if someone has studied good in their 12th can easily crack the entrance of the college.

The facilties were good in knowledge but there was a gap in their communication with the students from Northern region of the country. In a class there were 60 students and it was difficult to understand as the students were more than it should be. Interactions with the faculty was also less as they would not usually stop and wait for the students after the class so doubt sessions were very less.
