A mediocre college

Chairman and founder president are very good supporting the students but a few authorities like DA and few people in management pose very bad rules

I have got a scholarship amount of 60000 on joining this college and this was the only college which has NBA and Naac accreditation in South India so I have opted for this and the fee is also affordable and the college faculty was very friendly explaining the details of the college and courses.

The course curriculum was good and the fee credits were given properly for each subject. There were properly scheduled and the syllabus is given precisely which a student can master in a semester time and practicals were also given importance in the semester curriculum.

The college provides Industries for internship and final year project but there is no stipend regarding that, but the Industries are very good which college refer to.

The placements are poor there are only 10% of placements from the college. But u can opt for higher studies to any foreign university with the guidance of staff. VELTECH has collaboration with many foreign universities u can opt of a 3+2 program in the 3rd year also with a good stipend amount.

There are few events in the college. The annual fest is lavaza which is very colorful and is for 2 days. A program called Visai is conducted with all the technical events and there will be events for every festival on the eve of the festival celebrated and there will be hostel days for women.

The fees are feasible. The college fee is 1.5lacs per annum and they provide you a scholarship based on percentage and the scholarship slabs are 100%,90%,75%,50%, and 25% depends on your percentage level in 12th class and the hostel rates are 80,000-1,50,000 depending on your requirement.

Campus life is a bit disappointment with less area for roaming. The gender ratio is almost 1:1 but the rules are a bit strict with few faculties like restricting the talking and roaming of opposite genders. Very few extracurricular activities and Visai is conducted Which involves robotic competition and a very few sports meets are conducted.

The hotel facilities are very good and the food is also very good with chicken provided to you every night except on Saturday and for vegetarian the food is average. Milk is provided twice but the quality is moderate and the rooms are very good and spacious and are neatly maintained with laundry services available too.

Alumni Network is very good. The college conducts alumni meet once in a year in all the major cities inviting all the candidates to effectively participate in the meet.

The marks for the exam are accumulated in two ways 1.Internal 2.External. External exams are the semester exams which are conducted for 100 and converted to 60. Internal exams have 2 cycle tests and mid tests each with 10 and 20 marks weightage respectively bounding to NBA regulation. They are very transparent and good result yielding.

It was a completely transparent process. I directly went there and filled in the details and enquired about the fee as my 12th class percentage was high, they offered me a 50% discount on fee in the form of scholarship I have got a scholarship amount of 60000 on joining this college.

The faculty is friendly but some of the faculty in the college have no proper grip on the subject but they help you in choosing a good books and for Mechanical branch, in particular, there are few professors who teach u a good basis for the core subjects,but remaining associate professors have less capability in teaching it to students in an efficient way.
