Likes

The college infrastructure is growing . New smart classes are being introduced which has helped the students a lot.
The extra curricular activities are top notch also the college has an amazing library.
The faculty is amazing both the teaching as well as non teaching staff

Dislikes

The time table for classes is a bit disappointing
Girls don’t get to enroll in certain courses and activities such as ncc clubs
Games and the playground is confined to boys only so girls dont get to participate in such activities

I chose BA HONS in literature and i am glad i did it. The teachers helped me a lot in understanding the real meaning of certain aspects not just touching the surface but explaining and exploring the subject deeper and deeper. Also the tactics used by the teachers helped cover the syllabus in due time for exam and the exams were really fun for me.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is constant. It includes the tution fee as well as the admission fee. I paid 7000 per year for a 3 year course. Apart from this scholarships and other financial aids are being provided to students in need.

Campus Life

The college has a wide variety of clubs. The college supports a variety of clubs like debate and seminar committees, literary clubs , red cross societies, ncc and nss clubs which provide students with ample exposure to the world and prepare them for it.

Admission

My admission was based on merit. And the seats were obviously reserved for some categories. The admission process is to be conducted off line and the fee is to be submitted online. Just a con is that it takes way too much time

Faculty

The faculty of college is appointed by government officials so the faculty is well qualified. All of them have cleared their net and set exams with some of them even having a jrf. In addition to the qualifications, the teachers are also enthusiastic.

Amazing College

About My College

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen the course myself but this year due to NEP we had 7 subjects which is kinda difficult for us to study .only 2 subject are main that are major and minor rest changes as per semester, so last year my multidisciplinary subject was Geography in 1st sem and then Geology in 2nd semester. There must be some changes in course. 1. Shortage must not be 75% it becomes difficult for students . 2. Teaching method must have to be improved.. Colleges have a semester of 6 months, they give information in 1 to 2 months and after some time in the semester, papers start..they should give some more time for preparation. The difficultly level of exams are not much... kinda easy paper . In minor exams the time limit is one hour and in major 2.5 hour . Sometimes time is problem too ... As I'm humanities student and we hv to write in length but sometimes due to time shortage weren't able to write much contents but overall my experience in college was good

Bitter truth

Course Curriculum Overview:

I just love philosophy and sociology. For that reason i go for this course only for that reason i got influenced to choose Bachelor of arts inspite of any other course This course also helps to go deep into the subject to study its nature and scope. Which help the student to learn more and more about the topic. If we talk about Further academic pursuits there is a huge variety of scope Like MA, MBA etc. one can go for MBA or go for MA anything which he or she thinks has a vibe scope in. The course curriculum is good.. but also it should include some additional trainings or teaching. Where students develop any skill which further helps them to provide any employment.. The exams are not difficult they are so lengthy like for example we have to write 5 answers which has a marking of 12 numbers. So for that we need to write 5-6 pages per question to got even 9-10 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum in terms of relevance was so good as it added my options of further academic pursuits.every subject in the course was relevant to eachother.The course was good so in my opinion they don't need to do any further improvement but yes teaching methods was slightly old i suggest them to try AI methods in teaching and go more digital which I think will help the students.for exam timings they know the students have to give six semesters so students needs the proper time to prepare.

A Comprehensive Review for Anantnag's premier educational institution- Government Degree College, Khanabal.

I did not apply to any other college since this college is located in my vicinity and it appeared to be a balanced choice. This is because this college has all the features that a premiere educational institution must have like the smart classrooms, spacious classrooms, great faculty along with a good focus on extra curricular activities like seminars, debating, singing, dancing, gymnasium. I wanted to go to the DU but due to a large distance and political issues I couldn't. I chose this college because it's nearer to me and quite popular in my area.
