Course Curriculum Overview
As we all know dentists are not considered doctors for society people, but honestly speaking they are also doctors like MBBS they have their specialities in different things BDS are specialists in oral region diseases. The duration of the course is 5 years which we have proper 4 years of teaching and practical work and 1 yrs of fellow internship when I joined the BDS course I wasn't interested in this at all it was like why should I check their mouth or teeth all those smells and there stains but when the clinical posting started in 3rd year dealing with patients and all became so interesting and some of the subjects of BDS like oral and maxillofacial surgery, prostho, cons, are so interesting The RCT the dentures and prosthesis and the surgery extraction are interesting, it's like this if we consider the course with interest and study that with interest it is interesting and of you are doing this for a degree then it's just like a graduation degree which has no value in medical
Fees and Financial Aid
Everything this course has different fees it's not that much costly for government colleges but for private or deemed the fees may rise from 5 to 10 lakh per annum. In my college, the fee is 10 lakh per annum which is taken as quarterly fees and other charges like the books and instruments has different costs.
Admission
The admission to this course was by NEET UG exam, there was a particular cut-off for taking admission in this course the student had to take bio in their 11 and 12 classes and opt to meet UG examined qualify in their particular reservation.
Faculty
First of all, I would like to tell you about the facilities considering my dental side only the faculties are excellent in their job of teaching and they treat every child equally with proper care. All the facilities over here have completed there MDS from different colleges, the student-teacher ratio we can say is 50:50 but sometimes some teachers leave the college due to some reasons nd it takes some time for the new faculty to take up the job. There is a proper mentor allotted to a group of students and the mentor always conducts a proper mentor-mente meeting to ask the student whether they have any difficulties in any subject or related to anything.
