- While the faculty is top notch but it lags when it comes to administrative issues.
- Round neck T-shirts are not allowed, only collared shirts are allowed and many other restrictions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I chose was BTech in Electronics and communication because few of my seniors who studied the same course from SRM University got placed at good companies. As I am I total freak when it comes to electronics, I wanted global exposure in this field which is again fulfilled by this university. You'll get whole bunch of freaks like me here and there are many clubs who'll recruit you and you can do amazing there. They'll help you prepare for real life projects and applications. I'm not a big fan of the exams conducted here. You'll have 3 cycle tests after every month in a semester. The pressure is huge. However the difficulty of exam will be between moderate to difficult. The final end semester exam will be quite easier than cycle tests but there is this huge drawback, they'll literally conduct the whole semester within 7-8 days so you're forced to give consecutive exams for 2-3 days which is literally nerve wrecking.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure and scholarship options at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM University) can vary based on the program, cours (B.Tech)Annual Tuition Fees: Approximately INR 2,50,000 to INR 3,75,000 depending on the branch of engineering. Hostel Fees: Around INR 90,000 to INR 1,50,000 per year, depending on the type of accommodation (AC/non-AC) and occupancy (single/shared Medical (MBBS):Annual Tuition Fees: Around INR 22,50,000. Hostel Fees: Similar to the engineering hostel fees. Management (BBA): Annual Tuition Fees: Approximately INR 2,50,000.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good. You'll get everything inside of campus. They have their own food court called "Java". There are many other facilities like stationery shop, parcel shop, electronics and repair shop. You also have subway inside and many other cafe's. There are bank inside campus. SRM University has a huge club. There is a club for everything. It's worth experiencing. The fest is huge. People from all over india come to attend the fest.
Admission
Admission process was quite easy. You'll have to give an entrance exam called SRMJEE. The university conducts this examination in 3 phases starting from April till July. The application fees is 1200/- The exam session will be remote which means you can take exam from your laptop or PC at your home. Moreover there is no reservation. The difficulty of this examination is between moderate to easy. If you're rank is satisfactory you can take admission in your desired field easily. However I feel the examination money is quite high for a remote based exam.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is satisfactory. You have separate faculty for each section. All faculty are professionals in their own field. Each faculty member has their own aura. The mentorship you'll get from them is an impeccable service.
