Remarks

The most wrost management I have ever seen . At last i can say Students suffers and management Sucks.

Entrance Preview

This is one of the most oldest Engineering college of India with well established laboratories and workshops. Most of the alumuni got success from this college and achieving a wonderful hieght in their life. Being one of the oldest college of punjab the infrastructure is well established and one of the reputated Engineering college of Punjab.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is similarly the typically Indian Education System course..outdated one but we cant ignore from this fact. Some new subjects has been added keeping in view of modern Trends of Robotics and Automation. Workshops are well established but same a typicall outdated .

Internships Opportunities

No, Our college doesnt provide any kind of Internship. This totally depends on the student if he/she has any link where he/she can apply for Internship.

Placement Experience

2.5

In this time no degree gaurantee you for Job even you are from IIT but In a bunch of Student we always have some students who grab opportunity and are lucky one. Placement wise not good as there is lots of politics within management but not so bad . Many of students got placed from here with annual package of 10 lakh per annum.

College Events

4

There are many events Celebrated in our college like annnual technical Cultural Fest Tarranum every year students and Faculty gather teogether to celebrate this Fest but it is on small scale so need to excite too much. NCC Day, NSS events, Blood donation camp , Deoartmental Festival are also Celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee Structure is feasible and affordable . It will take all about 4 lakh only college fee fooding and loggding has not been included. Many of students also avail scholarships as per the goverment norms Fee waiver Policy is also present here and most of SC/ST students fee is waived.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are eaisly available here Scholarship are provided to SC/ST students and most of students from punjab are studying under waived fee.

Campus Life

2

In campus you can learn a lot ,deal with lots of bulllshit There is no source of fun or entertainment so college life is just boring i can say not so much Extra -Curricular activities. Sports wise it was good earlier but now a days quality doesnt remains the same. Extra activites such as NCC, NSS, SAE,EDITORIAL CLUB is also present here.

Hostel Facilities

2

Nothing like new like every college the mess food is wrost i could say. Unhygenic and not even tasty. Most of students in Hostel prefer to cook by their own when there is single diet. Coming to the Hostel facilities it is good , R.O water is available and with proper facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

No proper connection between College management and alumni but some of alumni have done really well in different field.

Exam Structure

We have semester wise exam Here. Semester starts and end in every six months Session starts from January and end in july Next session from August and Ends in December There are two internal Exam for internal marks And After that semester exam starts for External marking.

Admission

We can get admission here by either 10+2 marks Diploma based Or Through JEE mains entrance Exam You have to fill up your details in the councellling website from where you will opt branches as per your like . If seat remains vaccant that usually happening u will get your admission here by Direct Admission.

Faculty

2

Most important thing a college should have is a well exprienced and knowledge Faculty . This is what this college is lacking. Most of the teachers are on the basis of consolidated salary and New comers PHD enrolled and not that much of Teaching skill , so faculty is not up to the mark.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
