Vel tech University

The college management is running the college well gives but they can improve a lot too...

Vel tech attracted me because of its infrastructure and most importantly the faculties of the department INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. The staffs and HOD of this dept are very kind and have great knowledge about the subject. The university gives great importance to studies and extracurricular activities too..

The academics in this university is pretty good. The faculties give great importance to all subject and make sure that all students understand all the concepts well. Most of the staffs are pretty friendly and kind so no need to hesitate to ask any kind of doubts...

The university also gives opportunities for final year students to do internships at other companies...

The institution has decent placement history and good companies like wipro, Accenture etc come to the institution for hiring freshers... The university gives great importance towards placement and tries their best to make sure all students are placed...

the University gives great importance to all festivals like Onam, Pongal, Diwali etc...Events like dance and other activities are held during these festivals. Every year tech fest which is also known as Lavazza is conducted in this institution. All students show great interest in this programme..

Fees for hostellers will be around 2 to 2.5L per year ( Including tuition fees). The tuition fees are fine but the hostel is a bit expensive I feel...The hostel does have necessary amenities like gym, games etc...It also has a decent ground in which students can play...

The institution offer scholarships for students who got good grades in their 12th std.These can be availed during admission.

Campus life is good and the university gives good importance to sports and all other extracurricular activities. The university has latest configuration computer labs which can be used by the students whenever they want..The physics and chemistry labs also have all required things.

The hostel is pretty fine. The hostel does have necessary amenities like gym, games etc...It also has a decent ground in which students can play. The warden also gives the ball and other elements for the students to play during the free time...Food is decent.

The senior students helped us a lot during the submission of minor project etc... they guided us very well.

Every semester two unit and two midterm will be conducted for Internals.. after this comes the semester exam...The sem is out of 60 marks and remaining 40 marks are Internals... the avg of all unit and mid-term is calculated and converted into 40 marks.

I wrote the entrance exam and then just had to pay the admission fees. After paying the admission fees I was asked to attend the bridge course. It is a course that all students have to attend before the actual class begins. The bridge course was pretty interesting and fun too.

Faculties of this institution are pretty kind and friendly. They make sure that all students understand the concepts and pass with flying colors...All the faculties are well educated and experienced as well. They have good knowledge about the subject.
