Likes

The infrastructure of my college as well as the dedicated faculties we have.
Good administration and hospital facilities , good patient load.
Patient load is so apt to learn more and more clinical aspects of the subjects.

Dislikes

We're bonded by the government of haryana for a loan of 30 lakhs otherwise we have to serve the government for 5 years.
Even after bond , we are not assure about the jobs after completion of our internship.
The hostel mess is really a mess only . The degrading quality of food is really a point of concern.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm a student of MBBS final proff,now I'm about to complete my graduation and as the day passes I feel more and more grateful for being a doctor. This is best profession one can opt for . About curriculum, as we're the student of new curriculum (cbme) , it quite delighted and have more clinical aspects.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship is a major part . After completion of our graduation course , govt of haryana mandates the internship of 1 year for every medical student. Even though salary is not that much good but one can gain a good clinical experience

Fees and Financial Aid

Regarding fees , we have to pay around 100000 rupees every year with a rise of 10 percentage annually. Tution fee and hostel fee both are included in it . Regarding scholarship, there are scholarship programme for reserved category students. Our college doesn't offer any kind of placements.

Campus Life

Campus life is quite peaceful, even though our college is in mid of the city of karnal still there is a very peaceful environment. There is greenery everywhere. Social aspects are on the raise day by day ..there are many events ongoing related to medicos . Club and all are yet not established as much.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are the best part of college life . And our hostels are very different from other universities like about infrastructure we have quite good infrastructure and surrounding areas also full of greenery.we have parking space in and around hostels

Hostel Fee: INR 23000 per year

Admission

We have to go through the Neet ug entrance exam for MBBS admission and for which application forms are online available in and around month of January . Regarding cutoff , every year there is a rise in cutoff marks , this year it is around 630 640.

Faculty

We have a quite experienced and highly educated faculty members in our college. Student to faculty ratio is can't be explored more as we have different departments in every year .and there are a lot of teachers in every department. And all the staff members are really hardworking and passionate about their jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I've always wanted to become a doctor. Every batch consists of 150 students and for every subject, there are at least 4-5 professors. All faculty members are of course doctors with varying degrees of specialization in their respective fields. Their teaching method is through PowerPoint slides for theory classes and practical's are held in respective labs as it happens everywhere else usually. As for now, due to COVID exams being postponed otherwise before the pandemic, exams were held on time. Exams in a medical college are always slightly more difficult than other courses otherwise if you study properly it's not that tough to pass.

Kalpana chawla government medical college is a renowned institute in this region. I am doing my MBBS course from this college. I got admission in this college through NEET entrance examination. I applied for NEET exam after completing my 12th. After clearing NEET, I applied with my score in counseling, and got admission in this college by my score. We must have studied Physics, Chemistry and biology in 12th and must have completed 17 years of age.

The admission is done purely on the basis of your NEET score. A cutoff is declared after the NEET results are out. A merit list is taken out. PGIMS Rohtak as everyone know is one of the oldest medical colleges in India. It is also one of the reputed colleges. It was given an A+ grade. It provides quality education to the students who thought it might be lacking a bit in infrastructure and extracurricular activities.

Medical College

Being one from the general category it is quite tough to cover the cutoff of the NEET exam. I got 625 marks with a rank of about 10000. There are only about 1 lakh government seats including all the medical courses. Getting admission in a private medical college for a middle class student is not aya all possible. Admission in government medical college can be taken by applying for the NEET exam conducted every year in ye month of may-june. Reservations are available for some categories which is unfair but the system works like this. The difficulty level of the NEEt exam sis decreasing day by day which is even worse because the cut off in increasing to another level which makes it even difficult to get a government medical seat. The reservation needs to be removed completely and the exam pattern should be set on a certain level....Read More
