Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is designed for making us a dentist all prepared for the upcoming future. The subjects and practicals done in college is all based on real world applications. More practical based lectures can really improve the grasping capacity of students. We have four exams per academic year. 1. First terminal exams 2. Second terminal exams 3. Pre professional exams 4. Professional exams The above three counts as in internet assessment marks and the last one decided the overall marks of that year. Theory and practicals are both important and it is compulsory to pass in them separately. The difficulty level is moderate to high.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our 5th year is compulsory internship year that we need to done in our college only. We have our own dental hospital in which the patient flow is good. We also got a stipend of 5000 every month for internship. We have all the departments for doing internship and pg courses also. Periodontology Pedodontology Oral and maxillofacial surgery Conservative and endodontics Prosthodontics Public health dentistry

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees doesn't increase as decided at the Time of admission. But it goes up for new batch admissions sometimes. The total academic fees is 10 lakhs . Which is 2.50 laks per year. Also have the option of quarter payment of 62500 four times a year. ( Which is best and puts less burdens,I personally chose this one) Hostel charges are different. 75000 for non AC rooms 95000 for AC rooms Per year Also pg facility available nearby ( I personally live in pg) Campus employement is not as such. But a compulsory internship is given at the end of 4th year with a sum of 5000 per month.

Campus Life

4

AURA is our annual festival. It is a really fascinating and we all are looking forward to it. They usually help in November or December. The books are mostly available. As we have seperate library for both medical and dental departments All facilities like dental chair, projector classrooms, mess, canteen are available in college premises. We have our own sports event also that help usually before aura. Student run committee forms every year like cultural, academic, photography, food, etc. Committee are there.

Admission

Admission process was comfortable and the admission cell was helpful with that. Only neet qualified students can get into this course You can collect the admission forms from website or direct from the reception of the college. No reservations benefits I know so far. If you have qualified the neet exams at the low most score then also you can take the seat But after 100 seats they don't take any admissions.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is good. The learning experience is very comprehensive and thorough. Faculty is highly educated and veteraned. Also every student has provided with a mentor for listening to their problems. Also the interaction with each teacher and mentors is quite often and easily accessible. They are really friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As this course provide the tag I wanted , that's why I took this course . And bds itself provide specialization in teeth Like if we do MDS we would be a master in this field. For improvement I would suggest that they should use more flowcharts to teach . The frequency of exams is perfect, and I have heard that the difficulty level is increasing now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course over MBBS , I LIKE THIS BETTER , you're a specialised doctor just after graduating, you're ready for the outside world, to earn money , better career options . About exams, nothing is too difficult if you study properly. Its normal difficulty if you study its easy ,if you don't study its gonna be hard. Notes system should be removed . More tests should take place like fortnightly test . Dissection is a must.

Placement Experience:

Dentistry is not a semester based placement programme. After BDS, students can be employed in the private dental clinic of ITS itself, or they can secure jobs from big hospital names like Fortis, Clove Dental Clinics, Max and Apollo. • The average package of students per month has been 3 lakh rupees. My plans after the degree are to get a campus placement, and practise for some time. During this time i would be earning good money and focusing on my NEET MDS preparation at the same time.
