Course Curriculum Overview

5

The college is very much lineant with the examination pressure as it has only two exams in annual year mainly internal and final exam that occur during August and November. The academic pressure is very much low and college has a good practical way to teach students

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship programme provided by the college is Excellent as only 4 hours of timely duty ends up with the nice 30k salary which is similar to mbbs graduates. The internship programme is for whole 365 and paid internship is rare in Indian colleges. While nice pay makes it very much better

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of course is very low as it is a government aided college and it's fees is only 5200/- annually which makes it very affordable while the Bengali domicile student enjoys a lot of scholarship granted by the government and other ngos

Campus Life

2

The college support sports, dance, art and music a lot but on the college level only and interbatch limited no faculty or management grants exposure to outside world for other games and activities.the student makes group and enjoy hobbies

Admission

The admission process was very much better as it didn't need any hectic schedule for it but the cut off from the national level entrance exam named neet is around 30k for the all India quota students while 50-60k for the Bengali domicile student

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is very much diverse and have great qualifications mds doctors mbbs doctors give hundred percent. Mostly teachers have Bengali accent and Cannot escape using Bengali while teaching which makes it challanging. The teacher student ration is around 1:25 while college lacks any management

The teachers are very supportive and we have practicals and Clinical postings from 3rd year. We are given 10 patients each from 3rd year to treat. I think instead of two exams we must have two small weekly tests so that our memory power can increase.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The patient exposure in this curriculum is highly appreciable. The curriculum prepares us to do the best hand work in every possible manner. It prepares us to deal with the outside world independently. The course needs to be advertised a little bit,the awareness and view of people towards this needs to be improved which can be done by spreading awareness and providing more facilities to existing students in the field. The frequency and timing of exams are quite good as it prepares us for the best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.
