Architecture life in NIT Patna

Curriculum of architecture is practical based. In my college, curriculum is followed in the same way. Exams are conducted 2 times in a semester being mid sem and end sem. Course is well divided which is helpful for us to.

In architecture there is no such college internships. We have to look it for our own. Stipend mostly ranges grin 5k to 6k. In btech it's very good. Companies like Google and Microsoft hire interns and give lucrative stipends.

In architecture the are very less college placements. In my college slowly reputed firms have started to come to recruit like Pinnacle. While in B tech placements are very good. Average package being 13 LPA, while last year's highest being 2 cr.

There are government scholarships which you can avail. Also college gives fee waivers based on your category and family income. For general and OBC, full tuition fee if family income above 5 lakh. In these cases you need income certificate. However for SC and ST students ni certificate required other than caste, full tuition fee waived off.

We have one annual techno cultural fest called Corona and Melange held almost in January. Then we have inter departmental cultural competition called Eccentrica. We also have inter departmental sports competition called Intramurals. Apart from these, many departments have their own departmental fests. We have almost all types of cultural and technical clubs.

Hostel faculty is very good. There are newly built hostels like Brahmputra, which is 10 floor apartment based. It gives breathtaking view of the Ganga. Food provided is ok and sometimes can be very good. We get nonveg 3 days a week.

There are 2 types of JEE MAIN. JEE PAPER 1 AND JEE PAPER 2. I gave both but got selected in JEE PAPER 2 which gives admission in Architecture. Admission is cutoff based, I secured 98.6 percentile and AIR 1324 in JEE Paper 2. However you get some benefit if you are from home state.

All the faculty of my department are highly qualified mostly belonging from SPAs and IITs. They are ready to help whenever needed and also support in different student campaigns. We can interact with them whenever we want.
