Likes
- the things i like about the college is their extensive and cultural grid bringing students all over the country to one singular location to communicate and share ideologies.. There are lots of things to do and the various oppurtunities provided by it
- The various sports activities make the college enjoyable and filled with fun.. we get international students, indian students, state level players and compete against other colleges.. we get indoor games facilities such as table tennis etc in hostels
- The college is comprised of various technical and cultural clubs which makes the college lively with vibrance.. technical clubs keep coming in numbers every single day and getting into one of them makes it such an easy process which makes it fun
Dislikes
- The things I dislike about the college is the outdated curriculum.. there are fewer advanced courses available, limiting ability to explore niche areas of interest
- Overcrowded classrooms and the large intake of the college makes the college a little overcrowded with a bunch of classrooms filled upto 70 or even a 100 at times
- A few professors might be inconsistent and might not be very engaging or effective in their teaching methods
Course Curriculum Overview
my course curriculum is in computer science and software engineering.. the core subjects are covered well within this field and the software part to it is also covered making this specialization one of the most unique in the entire college.. placement offers tend to look for various skills within the student and I feel this course gives us just that covering not only the computer science field but also a deeper dive into the software world
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities available in college is quite good and immense.. there are various companies coming in each day and setting different outcomes of the job aspect.. Infosys, Wipro, Amazon have these amazing internship opportunities
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements after they complete their 4th year Various companies such as Amazon, fidelity, Infosys come here for campus placements The highest package was around 50 lpa and the avg package is around 5lpa The percentage of students getting placed is around 75% My plans after getting a degree is to secure a good campus placement after completing various projects and aim to write the GATE examination
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee structure for my course computer science with a specialization in software engineering costs around 4 lakhs a year.. now i wouldn't say this is the most agreeable fee structure for students because 4 lakhs is a lot, but considering the financial aid would add to your benefit.. we can secure a scholarship by getting a good rank in the SRMJEEE examination upto 50%
Campus Life
the technical fest is called AARUSH and the cultural fest is called MILAN.. aarush is usually held during the odd semesters and Milan is held during the even semester The library is one of the best places on campus. The range of books is vast and if one is looking to read and learn here, this might just be the place for you Inside the classrooms, we have a projector, a blackboard, air conditioning, fans , and moderate desks The clubs here are vast varying from technical fests to cultural clubs
Hostel Facilities
My room was NON AC COMMON WASHROOM BOYS the facilities were a desk, a cot, cupboard, fan The food is quite good in the mess but sometimes you might get bored of it quite often The registration for hostel fees and the affordability is quite good . They all can be found in the student portal
Admission
The admission process was pretty easy and simple.. we had to write only one private entrance examination (SRMJEEE) .. the application forms and application fees are all found in the student portal. The exam is online and can be taken with your perspective at the expense of the Luxor staying at home
Faculty
few members of the faculty are seriously dedicated to their work and teaching and go on by teaching life skills in their classes.. a few of the faculty members seem dull and not actively participating or thereby engaging with the class.. some of the professors are highly knowledgeable and they are important people in the clicking of the subject in a student's mind
