Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for certain subjects is a little redundant and unnecessary,.the core subjects pertaining to the degree is quite relevant and slightly comprehensible. I'd suggest making more stricter rules and practical practices.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered to students that have a good record in their academics and have skillsets that can be translated to good industrial demand. Students get recommended through their professors, club members and through company ads

Placement Experience

SRM promises a 100 percent placement record and as far as I know they have been maintaining it with full success. The average package is usually the same as the average as the market is offering and due to the job crisis right now there is instabilities in the package number but placement is almost guaranteed

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a little on the upper hand, hostel feels are quite expensive as compared to other colleges and is also very underwhelming. The college fees for every course is quite within the Average few amount changed by all colleges if not lesser. Overall pretty affordable

Campus Life

There are many clubs in SRM from technical to social to NGO'S etc, and the campus is always lightened by many events and social affairs in the campus. The club's always organise crowd involving events every other week. SRM has a huge event called as the AARUSH event where cultural events and sport events are organised and all the students can take part in these fests. I believe the AARUSH event is the biggest event happening in india

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is a very underwhelming experience, the hostels are quite old and over crowded with people and must go through a major renovation and many facilities within the hostel must be added. The intime in the hostel is standard, as far as I know the girls hostels are quite good but the boys hostels is where the work needs to be done

Hostel Fee: INR 250000 per year

Admission

Admissions would be taken through the SRMJEEE examination and usually in the First phase if a rank within 10k is obtained any course of your desired choice can be obtained. Phase 2 the competition and cutoffs are much more narrowed down

Faculty

All the professors that teach core subjects are very highly qualified and have deep knowledge in their subjects. Communication is good and student faculty interaction is very good. Syllabus is decent.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide 95% placement on basis of statical data . From mass recruiters to marquee companies all come for placement. More than 1000 companies come every year for the placement. Our college have a separate placement cell which starts the preparation in 2nd year only for students from guiding them to taking mock interviews.

Tale of srm

I applied for VIT, BITS, ST. XAVIERS, CHRIST etc. I got confirmation from all of these but I couldn't get the desired branch in bits and for vit it was just a personal choice of SRM being more free and chill prompting me to choose SRM. I didn't get rejections from any of these but after all my needs and wants the best option I found was SRM. There was only one exam SRMJEEE which I needed to score well in to get my desired branch and after that we were asked to choose out of the branches we were offered that's it. One of the best University in India

I applied for VIT along with SRM. I was yet to recieve a call letter from VIT for the admission process. Before that I recieved the call letter from SRM for the admission. I also appeared for SRM JEE and did recieve a call letter earlier for the admission of the same, but it was my choice to go with a degree. I chose SRM because of the infrastructure, facilities, its good name among companies and exposure. I applied to only two colleges outside Kerala and that were SRM and VIT. I decided to go outside my state for much better experience and exposure. I applied for the course in the college site directly and I recieved their call letter for admission. Upon arriving the campus we got a campus tour by their bus along with other people who came for the admission and 2 students They have minimum mark policy for making you eligible for the admission and after that everything is merit based.
