  • The labs here have good equipments but they are not operated properly because no one knows to handle that.
  • The campus has a lot of monkeys as the university is located at the centre of koni forest. They snatch food from students which should be controlled.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Syllabus is well divided in all the semester giving the students proper time to focus on each subject. We had 7 theory and 3 practical in 3 semester and the last semester has dissertation work which is a very good decision as it allows the students to learn on how to design a research and work on it. The constant support of mentor makes things easy to learn. But the semester is of short duration and that's why we were always in rush and couldn't give our best as we had expected before. We have 2 internal exams and a final exam each semester. But there's no fixed time for the internal exam which makes it difficult for the student.

Internships Opportunities :

No internship opportunities are provided by the university itself but teachers guide us to apply for internship outside. This is a negative point for the university and this area needs to be improved.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees in the first semester was approx 15000 including admission fees, examination fees, and other fees. Then it was around 12000 on the 2nd semester. But there was a hike in the fees without any notice. 250rs. Was charged for yoga fees but no yoga facility is available here. So wastage of money.

Campus Life :

There are several clubs like abhinartan which is a dance club, there's a music club, nukkad natak club, and other activities are actively done in the campus. There's so many fest occuring throughout the year from different departments like science fest, cultural fest, law related procrammes, music day, socio day, environmental fest and so many. There's a huge Library with almost all types of books. The departmental library is also well accessed by the students along with computers with data, which makes learning easy. Smart classes are available in each department, AC rooms and proper labs. There's sports day organised by different groups.

Admission :

The admission was based on the marks of CUET. I had scored 164 marks. The admission was divided into different dates category wise. It was a hassle free procedure here. The eligibility was bsc. In any biology subject. Teachers and other members were very supportive at the time of admission and guided us very well. We had 45 seats out of which 16 seats were UR. and rest all belonged to reservation. There was a huge competition amongst students. Nation wide students had come to take admission.

Faculty :

The faculties here are so educated and have their degree from good universities which is beneficial for the students. Behaviour and helping nature depends on the teacher. Some are very kind and supportive whereas some are rude and they don't like to see students grow. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:3 which allows students to interact with the mentor so well. They are always in a rush to complete the syllabus and so they also take extra classes for the students on weekends sometimes. Presentation skills have developed in all the students due to the constant efforts made by the teachers which is again a plus point in any students' career. Overall the experience here with faculty members is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course setup for M.Sc Botany is very good according to me. The course is 100% focus on CSIR NET to get a good opportunity in the research field. At the last semester, the Dissertation course is very helpfull for future researchers. A course called "Research methodology" is very essential for a knowledge of research ethics and post research publication process.

The curriculum decided for the course is a kind informative it covers a larger percentage of the NET syllabus which is beneficial. I suggest that the practical-based thing, they should improve, because practical makes the concept clear.
