Likes

College infrastructure is very much decent
Many sports facilities are available like football, cricket, basketball,volleyball,
Most of the faculty are mater and PhD holder and are well experienced

Dislikes

Intership opportunities are very limited
Mess food quality is very average ,not upto the mark
Campus size is not that much buz , comparatively smaller than other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very interested in it sector from starting so after completing my 12th I decided to do btech cse and get placed in a well reputed company.Every student can get easily placed after completing this course If he/she have studied well and attended lectures regularly

Intership opportunities are also provided to students but at limited number , many students have to do internship at thiet own . Many companies visit college campus for placement like TCS , Wipro, cognizant, avon, etc

Students after completing 6th semester are eligible to sit in tha placement cell .There are several companies who visit our college campus for placement such as TCS , Wipro, cognizant,etc. Every year 60% students get placed , average package offered last year was 4.5 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Total tuition fee of btech cse is 666000 including hotel facilities and also mess charges.Bus facility is also available for students and facilities both which is provided free of cost .there are also scholarship for only sc/st students.

Campus Life

There are many cultural festivals celebrated and also events are organised every year like fresher party for freshers and also prayaas which is a cultural event. Many sports facilities available like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is also available for students, in each room 4 students are alloted ,each student is given 1 bed , 1 almirah , 1 table and chair . There are 3 times meal provided to students and the meal quality is very average.

Hostel Fee: INR 210000 per year

Admission

Any student who are 12 th pass with science stream with minimum 60% marks can take admission in this college . Admissions are given on direct basis , there is no any entrance tests you can take direct admission

Faculty

The students to faculty ratio is 20:1 and faculties are well experienced and very supportive. Teachers provides extra classes to clear every doubt . Any student can contact teachers evey time of he/she have any doubt related studies

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Overall about AGC

I choose this college because its placement ratio is quite more rather than other college . They provide or taking test monthly so the student do not have worry about studies in the end of the year. I only applied in this college because my cousins are already graduated from this college.
