What Students Say
Likes
- The college faculty is good. They are very experienced and help not only with the teaching but also with personal problems. There are some faculty members who might not be very good at teaching the subject they are given but every college has this.
- The second thing that I like is there is no attendance issue. It will be okay if your attendance is lower that 75%
- Hostels are very good. Rooms are spacious.
Dislikes
- You don't get the CGPA you deserve if you don't attend regular classes.
- Infrastructure of the campus is not at its best.
- There is no college bus for pick up and drop facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
I find the course curriculum to be both relevant and comprehensive, aligning well with current industry standards and technological advancements. However, there are areas where the curriculum can be improved. The inclusion of more industry-led workshops and internships would greatly enhance practical learning and exposure to current industry practices. Regarding exams, they scheduled at appropriate intervals giving enough time to study for the subjects. Overall, the ECE curriculum is well-structured and comprehensive, preparing students effectively for both industry roles and further academic pursuits, while still leaving room for enhancements in practical exposure and continuous assessment methods.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides in house intership to students within the electronics department. Other than that the students can apply for internships in various companies for which the placement and training cell will provide the information.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit in placements from 3rd year. Many companies visited like Wipro, argusoft, Accenture, hexaware etc. with the package of 7lpa. There were some more companies. Highest package offered is 12lpa and average package is 3.5 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
For ECE, the tuition fees per year is 75,000 (45,000 for odd semester and 30,000 for even semester). I don't think the tuition fees has increased much. Also, the tuition fees is different for some courses. The complete cost of the education will be around 3.5 lakhs to 4 lakhs. There are many scholarships available. For OBC, ST and SC students government aided scholarship is there. For general students, Cummins Scholarship is there. Students can apply for that and after a simple test and interview you can get that scholarship. I did not take any campus employment.
Campus Life
The campus life is good here. Many tech fests and cultural fears takes place like Samrat Utsav. There is Central library which provides a wide range of books and other than that there is also a departmental library that the students can access. Facilities within the classroom are not very good. Sports activities takes place regularly. There are many clubs for students to join.
Admission
The eligibility for the course is that the student should have 75+ percent in 10+2 and should have a good percentile in the JEE mains examination. The application form, application fees, and application dates can be found in the college website and other websites in the internet. The exams are scheduled at appropriate intervals. They are not very difficult. One can get good grades if they study well.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is good overall. The faculty members are very experienced in the electronics department. Some of them teaches exceptionally well. The TG(tutor guardian) is great at mentorship. The faculty is very approachable anyone can call them or meet them.
