Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course that I chose was because of my interest towards the field. I had my particular interest in computers and wanted to pursue a degree which includes computers. In addition to this, the increasing demand of computer science engineers also has a major impact on the packages on offer. The number of jobs, along with the packages on offer also had an impact on my decesion of choosing this course. The curriculum prepares you at its best for furhther academic pursuits. The topics that are taught in class are all interconnected in one way or another and help develop thinking and problem solving abilities .The problems solved, experiments performed, assignments given, projects assigned aslo help in development of the individual. The faculty holds tests after completion of units and also there are two mid semester exams that take place in a single semester. These exams require the proper knowledge of the units which they cover in order to attain good marks.

Internships Opportunities

4

I have not joined any internship program yet but there are various companires that offer internships to the students. The details are shared by seniors and teachers to the students via groups or any other means. These internships help in the placement as the certificates provided by the companies can be used in the resume of the individual. Also the individual gains experience.

Placement Experience

4

The placement records are quite good and are a major reason for students approacing this college. The college offers the best placements, keeping the fact in mind that it is a private college, best in the city. Companies like amazon, google, zomato, microsoft, and various reputed companies approach the students during the in campus placement sessions. There are number of companies that have visited the college and ,ade no offers. The highest placement from the college was for 1.15 CR per annum which was bagged by a student of electrical engineering. The average package on offer is 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of stundents getting a package is about 70 percent, and the students who are unable to bag a package during in campus placements, most of them get a good package from open placements. The students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

In general there are no hikes (and even if there are, they are considerable). The fees is approximately the same for all the eight semesters(four years). Fee needs to be deposited before the start of a new semester and after the completion of end semester exams of the previous semester. The college provides a window in which the fee should be deposited otherwise they charge late fee. The complete cost of the education can be estimated around 5 to 7 lakhs and is somewhat the same for all the courses that fall under computer science engineering. There are a number of scholarships that are offered both by the college and the government. These scholarships are based on reservations(female and based on category), marks attained in class 12 and JEE percentile. There is scholarship department in the college that takes care of all these matters.

Campus Life

3

The college infrastructure is quite good. The building 8/10, classrooms 7/10, cleanliness 9/10 There are several cultural fests, college olympics, inter college tournaments, TEDx events, visits, etc that take place throughout the year. Generally these are held in intervals of two months. The library is quite big and almost contains all the books required and suggested by the faculty. The classrooms are well lit and ventilated. But some of the class rooms do not have an AC which causes a lot of problems in the summer season. During the noon time, when the temperature goes high, it becomes difficult to sit in the class. Clubs are available for the stundets from the second year onwards. There are a total of 44 clubs and students can also form their own clubs. There are inter college tournaments, inter branch tournaments which take place. The college has football ground, three basketball courts and a volleyball court as well along with enough space for other sports and activities.

Admission

The admissions are given on the basis of class 12th percentage as well as on the basis of JEE percentile. These factors affect the course which you will be alloted. If you have a JEE score of over 80 percentile, you can easily get a CS branch in the main campus of the college. Various details like JEE scorecard, class 12th marksheet, domicile certificate, etc are required during the admission. One can contact the college to get to know the documents that are required for admission. Yes there is reservation both on the basis of gender and category. Some seats are reserved for these candidates. Talking about exams, there are two mid semester exams which take place before the end of semester. There is a target for the teachers to complete and when that targetted units are completed, dates of mid semester exams are announced. And end semester exams are held on the completion of all the topics.

Faculty

4

The faculty is quite friendly, except a few of them(obviously there are some exceptions), qualified and interactive. You can approach the faculty anytime they are free to get your doubts cleared, or to get any help which they can offer. If they are available they will surely help you. Also the every faculty has a good hold of their subject. They explain the topics in the class with a lot of ease and in a way which is easily understandable. They are experienced, qualified and interactive. Also for a single subject there are about 3 to 4 professors present, which means there is a quite good faculty to teacher ratio.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and well-structured. Most subjects are updated according to current industry needs. The faculty also puts effort into explaining topics with practical examples instead of just theory which I genuinely appreciate for there hard work The curriculum covers both core concepts and modern technologies which actually helps in preparing for internships and further needs and i choose Artificial intelligence because it is latest and the future is in ai and everyone somewhere related to artificial intelligence and so i decided this course for my furture safe and good future
