- I like the infrastructure of my campus , the campus is really huge , enough to roam throughout the day
- Fully flexible credit system , this is one of the best reason to join vit. we can get to choose our faculty and timetable
- Diverse cultures , people join this college from all over india , you get to meet people from different backgrounds.
Dislikes
- there is no air conditioning in campus , its terrifying in summer
- less library capacity , the capacity of library is very low compared to the students in the college. for over 10000 students the library capacity is just 500
- fests are not so good . we have fests twice a year , but they ask money for every thing
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted CSBS (computer science and business systems ) due to its diverse curriculum , a good combination of computers with some business subjects . curriculum wise its better than all other branches , it includes various softskills inaddition to technicals . teaching methods can be improved , everyone just follow the ppt instead they can also teach manually on board .we have sufficient time to prepare for exams , there are 3 exams for each sem , 2 mid term and one final exam. the difficulty changes based on faculty
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship offered in campus placements . they offer a competetive stipend a friend of mine secured an internship with a stipend above 10lpa . and there are career development centers to develop our skills and ther are various clubs to showcase our talent.
Placement Experience
As claimed by the college . the average package is 7lpa , highest is 64 , the median is around 6.7 , many companies visited the campus including nxp semiconductors , infosys , atlassian , tcs , accenture . there is a cutoff for student to sit in campus placements . its based on the gpu the student secured . most of the companies accepts students who gpa is above 7. my plan is to secure a good offer after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees will be based on the rank in viteee exam if you come through viteee , it has various categories , starting from 198000 to 500000 per year . but the fees is just 70000 per year if you pass the cutoff in ap eamcet exam. there are various financial aids based on the student condition .
Campus Life
Overall , our campus is huge spreading over 200 acres , with greenery here and there , its difficult to live in the campus in summers , as the temperature around the campus reaches over 45deg in peak time . every classroom is equipped with a projector and a white board , podium and a stage. there are various clubs established by students both technical and non technical .
Admission
I got into this college through an exam called viteee conducted by Vit University. i got rank of around 50000 for which i got csbs in vit ap in category 1 . once we receive our rank we should attend counseling. based on our rank the counseling will be scheduled . the counseling fee is 6000 and is nonrefundable which i don't like. they can return this amount if the student opts to a different college .
Faculty
almost all professors have phd . and most of them are well qualified to teach . we have a lot of scholars who are also well educated .so the assistance is never a problem . we can interact with facutly in their leisure time in their respective cabins . the responce is different to each faculty.
