Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is just like all other engineering curriculum, but the number of electives that they offer could have been a little more and the minors and honours courses could have been conducted with more commitment. Some subjects which have been altered sometimes impose huge burden on you , so it's a mix of every experience.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship opportunities offered are quite minimal ,but it gives a nice experience for us on how to go about placements and also helps us on how to prepare for them , so there are big companies coming in for internships but yes they are quiet minimal.

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus placements are really good but recently we have seen a decline, maybe the recession could be a reason . But yes the campus placements has a decent record and comparatively a better record than the other institutions of the same league , the median is around 8 lakh , ranging from 10 lakh to 1.2cpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

We have different fee structures since we have different types of admission, for management where you write a separate entrance exam , your fee would be two lakhs while for govt aided it will be like around one lakh , there isn't much scholarships ,but the topper of every batch get their fee waived off, and you have govt aided and sports scholarships .

Campus Life

3

The campus life is really bad because of the presence of hostels as well as day scholars, so the connection will be lost frequently, social life is very mediocre, club involvement used to be great but now it's complete waste , no proper involvement at all , sports and extracurriculars now is just a gimmick

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good , it may feel like it's very bad and not up to the mark , but when we look at other college hostel and look at SSN , we really have a very good hostel facilities with new hostels coming up , so the accomodations wouldn't be a problem.

Admission

They consider the board marks and the management exam score and interview performance for management seats and for govt aided they only consider board marks , the transparency of how students are getting selected is very low .

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:20 , most of them are very well qualified with all of them being PhD holders and most of them are really good mentors and are supportive and obviously there are emotionally unstable professors too where you will have a really hectic time for their course , but most of them are easy to approach, it all depends on how we approach them , some are really good and supportive and some are retarded .

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

There's a word outside about VIT that it has so many rules and regulations and they are enforced very strictly but it is not the case. The only thing that is important here is maintaining 75 percentage attendence and not indulge is smoking, drinking or drugs etc and everything will be fine
