Course Curriculum Overview

Course consists of 11 modules for mechanical stream. It is about 70 percent practical and 30 percent theory. Sometimes if we were lagging in portion the management maybe rushed the course a little to be on time

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 149000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the course according to me is high. It includes various library and gym fees as extras and we had to pay. The DGCA exams for each session costs 1500rs per module. So u have to clear all the 11 modules irrespective of the attempts given .

Campus Life

There were not many annual or cultural events. We had just an annual day and some missed it due to their AET. Sports days would be a blast. Institute arranged various motivation lectures by various successful people in aviation industry

Admission

Admission process for me was easy. But had to hurry and pay rs 50000 to book my seat. There are very limited seats in both the mechanical and avionics stream. I ha given an online Google form test while taking admission

Faculty

There were not many instructors to teach a single module. But who were there were very helpful. The instructors have a lot of experience in the aviation industry and they do not hesitate to share it with the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The thing that most importantly influenced me for choosing this career was the further opportunities that I might get from this course. The first main thing is, it's just of two years and after two years we get opportunities for OGT i.e., On Job Training, which is excellent because at the age of just 19 we get to do our internship, which is a commendable job, plus about the curriculum, about the real world experiences, as I said the OGT and AET, which are part of our training, provides us with the real life experiences on the aircraft, which prepares us for further more opportunities, further more interviews and gives us a bit of motivation to walk into the real life, the real world, where the actual job has to be conducted. The frequency and timing of the exams depends on the modules. If the module is of less marks, i.e., 20 marks, then it only takes 25 minutes and if the modules are big, which conducts for 2-3 months or 4 months or 5 months, then the timing is more based on the marks.

Placement Experience:

The courses of 2 years so in the 4th semester the campus placements are started and company such as Indigo visit the college and almost 80 to 90% of students are placed with high package. And it depends on the students that how many DGCA models he have cleared.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason I chose this course was I was fascinated by planes from the start and this course gets you as close to an airplane as it gets at a pretty affordable price compared to the CPL course. So this is the only course in the college so the strength of the students are pretty less there are a total of 360 students in the college and there are a lot of subjects for each subject there are 2-3 teachers. Qualification of the faculty is the same course that is being taught and honestly iam not happy with the teaching method because all the teachers teach in Hindi and for the students coming from south India will find it difficult to understand. There's only one exam per semester that is the end Sem and it is not that difficult

I personally choose this course because from childhood I love aeroplanes and willing to work on aircrafts ,There are particular instructor for specific subject with required module ,teaching method is also excellent in this institute ,you can always ask whenever you have doubt about anything. After the 5th sem, students are eligible for campus interviews, indigo,alten ,l&t aviation, and many more, as per the vacancy, the package varies, as our institute has recorded that of the 2018 batch every single student has been selected for the job, still many students are selecting, my plan is to work in CAMO department.

I chose Thakur Institute of Aviation and Technology because it stood out on several parameters compared to other colleges for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME). Thakur Institute provides practical experience in a dedicated hangar with live aircraft, which is a unique feature. Other colleges may lack such exclusive and comprehensive hands-on training opportunities. The faculty here is approachable and well-organized, ensuring students receive timely help and guidance. In contrast, some other colleges may have a higher student-to-faculty ratio, leading to less personalized attention. The two-year course structure, followed by On-Job Training (OGT) and Aircraft Engineering Training (AET), ensures early exposure to real-world scenarios If I couldn't secure admission in other colleges, it was likely due to limited seats or higher cutoffs. However, Thakur Institute's emphasis on real-world training and a student-friendly environment made it my top choice.
