Course Curriculum Overview
Bca is a good course, it contains computer subjects, maths, commerce, languages, etc. The difficulty in studying depends on what background did the students study before this course. There is a fair share of computer science and commerce in BCA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are low. I personally have an e-Grantz scholarship and a central sector national scholarship. The office staff helps with our scholarship, and there is a separate staff for looking after scholarship problems. There is no campus selection which is disappointing.
Campus Life
The sports and extracurricular activities are generally promoted. There are atleast 2 or 3 sports students in each departments. Festivals are conducted in the college by the union selected by election. Books and journals are widely available in the library. The infrastructure is the bad side, the buildings are old and weak. Bca department has good buildings.
Admission
I had to register for the Calicut allotment, I placed sree Kerala varma as my first priority. I got it on 2nd allotment. It's fairly easy to get into this college if we have above 90 or 92 percentage marks in higher secondary exams. The exams are conducted according to the university it is usually late. The exams are somewhat difficult but also easy we can easily pass the exams. Revaluation, and supplementary exams are available.
Faculty
Most of the teachers help students to study. The students can ask any doubts to the teachers, they are willing to help us. Teachers are friendly, they are not always strict. Basic covering of syllabus is done if we have to score full marks we can refer to library in the college.
