Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

There are so many aspects which influenced me to choose this as career. This curriculum aligned with industry needs and trends. It emphasis on the practical skills used in the industry and it often intersect with various other fields like computer science ; chemistry and environmental science and many more. In today's world biotechnology is the basic and core source for every arising problem may it be climate change or may it be food scarcity and many more. There are various things to discover and give world a solution for it. But the scope in biotechnology sector is so less in India . It's very difficult to pursue as a career in this line . There are less lab practices and laboratory for the research work. The students who choose to opt this as a career also struggle to continue that field as a career basis .This need to be developed and scopes should be provided for youngsters to follow this course. And though it has less scope so there is high competition level and thus difficult.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total Tution fees was 37000 to 40000 for 3 yrs ( 6 semester) it is a self financing course. Per year the fees are ranging from 17000 to 19000 and this includes the course fees , examination fees and other fees . This was paid by online. For scholarship there are various government programs you can apply to . There are various schemes under government if you are eligible then you can get the scholarship till the course get completed. There is no such scholarship offered by the college. Though this course is self financing but there is no placement available for the students or there is no internship program where you can work or get stipend.

Campus Life

3.5

About the college fest or annual function or technical festival there is no such festival or function organised by the college which may be a bad news for the students but annual sports meet is conducted around December every year and during the new students come and undergraduate leave the college freshers and farewell are being conducted by the department students with their contribution. There are libraries for the access of books and study room is being provided by the students for studying. NCC and other activities like basketball, rugby , badminton, athletes ,cricket teams are being promoted and guided by which they play citylevel , district level ,state level also.

Admission

The admission process was through SAMS . You have to apply CAF form in which you will get selected by the cut off in the merit list. This form comes after the boards exams result nearly around May - June . The application form is of 200? and you can apply for maximum 20 colleges . This application form is also for all the courses you want to apply. Generally the cut off in this goes from 85 and above for general category and relaxation for reservation category. This data may vary according to the number of students applied , their percentage in class 12 and class 10. According to 2023 data the last cutoff was 90% for unreserved category.

Faculty

4

Faculty members and teachers are cooperative and friendly. They will help you in everything. Their teachings are good enough and teachers are highly qualified. If I consider mu department of biotechnology then the teachers are friendly cooperative and you can interact with them anytime and they are ready for help . My interaction with teachers was good and they helped me to grow so well and boosted my confidence and skills and knowledge. They are good mentor whom you can rely on in any matter may it be friends studies family anything and they are their to help you anytime .

Other Applied Colleges

Rama Devi Women's University | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biotechnology)

It's newly converted University but the facilities are not so good enough and moreover the environment around the college is not good.
