Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I always wanted to become a doctor. I had an inner urge to help people not by just my prayers but my doing too. The curriculum mostly focuses on the practical knowledge I gain with the help of clinical Postings I have every day in various departments in the hospital itself. Areas of improvement can be a more comprehensive use of technology and the distribution of topics amongst students so that they are active throughout. The frequency of exams should be twice in a year and the difficulty level should be based on the clinical approach of the student.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Being in a government setup our college provides internship in the college hospital itself after 4 years. After that, we have a state bond to complete which states that we have to do an obligatory govt job for two years under government only. Assisting more experienced doctors and learning the practical part of the course in real life is the main objective of the internship.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Being a government college the fees is minimal here . There are no such hikes in the tuition fees. Complete cost of our education here including the hostel fees is nearly 4.5 lacs (of the whole course). Scholarship by the state government is available for the students who need it. Other financial aid might be educational loans. Campus provides internship after which we have to work under the government for two years (because of the bond in up).

Campus Life

3.5

Our annual fest - Esperanza is held in the months of August and September. It's a combination of sports, literary and cultural events. Our central library consists of a wide variety of books which range from vast medical journals to medical atlases as well as rich novels that expand the Matrix out of academic boundaries. Technological provision within classrooms consists of two widescreen projectors and a smart board with LEDs for backbenchers too. Our college has a badminton court and a volleyball court the rest of the sports arenas are in the process of development. The student organization is in the process of making as of now.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are more than optimum- We have attached washrooms ,balconies, a table and a chair, a bed and an almirah which is provided by the college itself . Regular cleanliness is maintained by the college facilities. Meal quality is moderate enough and healthy for the person who is conscious about his diet. Hostel fees is minimal(4900 pa) A PG or a rented room are also available near the college itself .(Near lekhraj market)

Admission

Eligibility- 12th pass and Neet qualified. In general, the cut-off is Air 4000-4500 rank in neet. Application forms for neet are available online 2 months before the exam.( Exam in early May) Reservation benefits are very helpful which is based on the caste or if the person is physically handicapped. Children of freedom fighters also attain reservation benefits. The exam happens once a year for selection. It happens from 2 to 5 pm in the afternoon. Difficulty level is easy to moderate but accuracy is what matters the most to secure a good rank. To improve the admission process colleges can apply a more online version of admission of students to make it easy for students who live far away.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio is quite optimum as required (approx 5:1). It does impact our learning experiences as the short group discussions (SGD) after dividing people in small groups are quite effective in taking care of each and every person's academic knowledge. Faculties here are very qualified with various sets of skills and knowledge and their approach is always to the clinical aspects of the medical knowledge and the way of becoming a good doctor. We can interact with the teachers during their office hours and in our lectures too after they are finished teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a doctor, which is obviously not an easy job. I want to feel the real world and their problem.it is necessary to be a good doctor to feel and observe the need of the time.they need to improve their playing grounds and courts, mess food and obviously the caretaker. Because caretakers don't know how to do their job they just do politics in the campus. And faculty also need to focus on student not on inner politics too.Management need to be a little strict on mischief students.
