Likes
- The College is a prestigious and historical one. The infrastructure is maintained yearly and environment friendly atmosphere with green plants and tress. There are special blocks for each courses and different departments for the same.
- There Are computer labs , yoga rooms, seminar rooms for students. There is placement cell for training and campus recruitment. There is canteen inside the campus and water coolers are present.
- The Teaching And Non Teaching staffs are very cooperative and experienced professors are there as HOD in each department. A Library is also there with more than 2 Lakh books for the students to study and gain knowledge. .
Dislikes
- The Discipline is less as compared to other colleges and some teachers are arrogant towards teacher. Some classrooms are not that much developed and furnished.
- Annual day and other fests should be also introduced.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) as i had an interest in business activities and management activities. I want to further do MBA in logistics. So i choose BBA from dav college because its fees friendly and one of the prestigious college near to my house. The teaching staffs and professors are highly educated and cooperative. There are unit tests and mid-semester exam at mid of the each semester and difficulty level is as of semester exams to prepare students for the exam. There is not much improvement needed in the course and teaching methods i think.
Internships Opportunities
The companies which offer stipend are wipro, TATA steel and HP etc ad amount of 15000/- is offered to the students. The Jobs like managers office staffs and clerks are offered. Many stydents are getting stipend along with the training and studying.
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester the students becone eligible for campus lpcements. The companies like wipro , verka, hp and many more have visited the campus and offers made upto 1.5 laks per year. There 5-10% students getting placements . My plan is of MBA after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution Fees is not that much as compared to other college. The fees is 42000/- something per year and is affordable. No extra service fees is to be paid. But Fines are to be paid in case of short attendence and for failing in MST. There are scholarships and fees discounts for SC and BC.
Campus Life
There are annual days and functions on special occasions. But fests and fair are not conducted. Special days like earth , aids , labour day, etc. are also celebrated with competitions or other activities. There is a cricket and volleyball team in the college. dav Cricket Cup is also conducted as a tournament for cricket. There are NCCs and other clubs and socials groups in the college actively.
Admission
The Eligibility was 60%+ in commerce subject for BBA and application forms and related things can be collected from general office. There are benefits of reservation also. There should be more effiecient staffs and a interview section for admission i think. There was orientation section also held after college admission.
Faculty
Yeah as told earlier faculty should be more. But the faculty members cooperation and support is praisable. The teacher student interaction is easy and doubts are cleared at spots. The regular class tests and mid semester exams are also taken to judge the student's performance.
