Remarks

So far the management has been helpful and nice. We do get a lot of work which does get hectic sometimes but otherwise, the teachers are really supportive

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is rather practically driven. We have been to a lot of news channels and visits which has taught us a lot as professionals and individuals. The exams happen twice a semester- internals and externals. Internals mostly constitute of different practices like movie reviews, photography, editing or even projects.

Placement Experience

4

We are the first batch of mass media in this institute. We don't really know where we are gonna end up but as far as contacts for these placements are concerned, our teachers have various contacts just to attain us a lot of industry visits so it's pretty sure that they have good opportunities for us in store

College Events

4.5

We have attended quite a lot of events until now. Namely, Doordarshan, Lok Sabha TV, news nation, Aadi Mahotsav, Surajkund Mela. We've done literacy campaign, plantation drive, nuked Natak, short film practice. It's been a fine journey. We have learned a lot

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual fees of the year are 60k which is par with the type of lessons they provide us. There are other expenses too since it is a mass media college. Transportation costs, other expenses. Overall it is worth of what we receive and what opportunities we get

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. However, I have friends in my batch who have done that. The administration of this college is pretty helpful in this scenario.

Campus Life

3

The college is an all-girls college. The environment is pretty chill. We also have regular sports class which is pretty good since in this time span I have learned table tennis and volleyball. We have a variety of events, even college fests. The college campus is also nice.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network and contacts are good since they have sent us to a variety of events through their contacts.

Admission

I came across this college through college unit. It appeared to be a very appealing institute so I called in to inquire about the curriculum. As it turns out they had a CET exam which I initially planned to give for fashion designing. Later on, after receiving a counseling session from Geisha ma'am and Priyanka ma'am I changed my mind.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college has a very wide approach in examining and teaching us. They are very chilled out but at the same time keep us on our toes for work. It's not gonna be very easy but it is definitely gonna be worth it. We have different terms with all the three teachers but it's actually pretty cool to be around such dedicated staff.

Placement Experience:

80% students are placed through DME with a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA on an average which is quite decent for a fresher entering the industry. The top recruiting are for placements are Bharat Express, PR Guru, Amar Ujala, Dynamite News, T.H.E.M.E.S. Over 90% of the students were placed for internship in Amar Ujala, PR Guru, Aaj Tak, ABP News and Doordarshan. Top roles offered are journalist, content writer, anchor, film maker, and back end roles like video editor, graphic designer and many more. I personally plan to go into video editing after getting the degree.

Placement for Bajmc at dme are limited compared to some other professional courses. Students usually become eligible for placement opportunities or internships in the final year. There are not many direct placement with major media houses although students sometimes get industry exposure through sessions or visits .

My main aim is to become an automobile journalist that is the aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Till the date i dont feel that improvements are needed in curriculam and teaching methods. As faculty is really good in teaching and timely providing notes as it really helps students to learn effectively for theory exams and concentrate on practical skills that are needed to secure good position in reputed firms in future

Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.

Students become eligible for placement during their final year of college. DME offers several different companies that it has tie ins with for placements to students such as Gadgets 360, Aaj Tak, Myntra, PTI and D&P. 70-80% students get a good placement package. My personal plan following graduation is to pursue my higher education in correspondence with employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.
