What Students Say
Likes
- Environment is quiet nice, Engineering clubs like team brahmastra racing, team brahmastra quad is good and I liked working with my clubs
- Facilities are good like gymnasium, sports like volleyball, basketball, cricket. Events organised by students are good, annual event etc.
Dislikes
- Faculties are not good, syllabus doesn't complete on time, labs are not good, no-supportive faculties, they don't care what you are going through doesn't listen to reasons for short attendance sometimes
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually we are studying bachelor in engineering which is an old course currently all engineers study b.tech, that's why the course is old and some subjects are just useless, some elective and audit course subjects are added just to increase credits per semester.
Internships Opportunities
College provides internships in college and outside college where they have contacts. There are more opportunities like hackathon etc. where you can outperform other students and win exciting prizes. There are many companies providing internships for our college in nashik, but with a stipend in mechanical engineering is not something I've heard of.
Placement Experience
Placement for mechanical engineering were quite good this year 60-70 students got placed and the average package is around 3-4 lakhs. If you have no active backlogs and has skills you can easily get placed in a good reputed company. From 7th sem you can start sitting in placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarships for SC, ST , OBC are quite good. Total student fees is 1,25,000/yr but if you are OBC You have to pay around 69000, For SC,ST it's 250 rs/yr. The scholarships are good but if you are taking admission from a different state then there is no scholarship, you have to pay full fees.
Campus Life
The clubs are nice there are many social clubs, mechanical clubs you can join which benefits in many ways. Social clubs helps you in social skills which helps in your placement interviews, Mechanical clubs designs and manufactures carts, buggies, quad-bike etc. by learning how to design and manufacture you can gain a ton of knowledge and if you are in last year you can even get placed at an event where your vehicle is performing and not just a normal package you can get upto 14-15 lakhs/yr package as a mechanical engineer. The environment here in nashik is cool, but the area around our college is dull as it is in the corner of nashik and not in the city.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good, but the meals are below average. But you can actually get a room outside with a home delivery lunch and dinner boxes which is quite good. Our mess provide limited breakfast and unlimited lunch and dinner. But hostels are for memories, I lived and ate whatever was made in mess I complete my protein quota by eating from outside otherwise I eat in mess. The hostel and mess fees is 65000 for one year which is actually affordable.
Admission
I entered via jee mains score, I don't know the cutoff for jee but it was 60-70 %ile for MHTCET entrance exam. Form can be filled via MHTCET site, But our college is now autonomous and isn't affiliated to SPPU you can still fill the form under MHTCET site.
Faculty
Some faculties are good at teaching but I suffered from the language barrier if you know Marathi language then it's okay for you but I came from a different state, so I had issues studying and attending classes. The qualifications of teachers are good , 3 faculties are from IIT in mechanical department. But the teachers will torture you if your attendance is low.
Other Applied Colleges
IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITB] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
Didn't get the required percentile
