Course Curriculum Overview

3

I think MBBS itself speaks n theres no need to explain the relevance but still..i think patient care and the zeal to help the people inspired me towards mbbs.. I feel the whole curriculum is designed in such a way that it prepares for the real world unlike other courses where the text is just bookish but here we need to imply all those for example there are clinical postings where students see real patients n interact with them . The areas for improvement would be keeping check on students' mental health by giving more holidays and conducting regular counseling. The exams n tests are conducted quite frequently so that's absolutely not an issue in this course

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college provides internships.. as per the guidelines of nmc, the internship is of 1 year and the stipend as of now is 18000.. which in the future might be increased to around 30000. Overall the internship experience is quite good here as told by the seniors

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee increases every year by 10%. The complete course fee would be around 104000 each year for college and hostel fees and around 50000 mess fee each year. I think scholarships are available for SC, and ST students in which 40% of the course fee is refunded back. There are no campus employements till the final year. In internship there is stipend.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual fest "ENDORPHIN" is held once a year.. which a 3 day fest.. other events such as annual day, holi celebration, white coat ceremony these also are held.earlier the college didnt have much of a cultural trend but not with the new director sir incharge..there have been so many good changes. The library is accessible to the students n the environment is quite good. There are sports tournaments held for every sports where there is participation from faculty n students both. There are multiple clubs such as music club, dance club, lam club ,sports club, mandir committee.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The rooms are one of the best parts of this college. They have attached the washroom and balcony. And it's well-furnished everything is provided by the college. I dont think any govt college in india has such good rooms.. the only problem is that they only provide double occupancy which will be solved in the upcoming 3-4 years with the construction of new hostels going on. The mess is cooperative. It means run by a student mess committee so the menu and quality can be controlled. The hostel fee is ?23000 per year n mess fee is around ?2700 per month. The locality is quite good and friendly

Admission

One can get into the college thorough the nmc counselling only. The admission is through state and all india counselling . The admission is through neet exam which is held once a year by nta.which is quite easy. The counselling is a quite hectic procedure so nmc should ease it down a bit so that everyone can get it done without any kind pf stress

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good here. The faculties are really focused on academics and they put so much hard work into academics and students' performance. They are always eager to help and always keep on motivating us to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

New nmc curriculum is quite clinical based and practical also the practicals in different subjects help us to grab the concept even more. Syllabus is quite vast and difficult to cover. Exam frequency is very high evil give pcts after every topic completion and two internals and two centres and one professional exam is also there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I've always wanted to become a doctor. Every batch consists of 150 students and for every subject, there are at least 4-5 professors. All faculty members are of course doctors with varying degrees of specialization in their respective fields. Their teaching method is through PowerPoint slides for theory classes and practical's are held in respective labs as it happens everywhere else usually. As for now, due to COVID exams being postponed otherwise before the pandemic, exams were held on time. Exams in a medical college are always slightly more difficult than other courses otherwise if you study properly it's not that tough to pass.

The admission is done purely on the basis of your NEET score. A cutoff is declared after the NEET results are out. A merit list is taken out. Upto 3 merit lists are taken out on regular intervals of 2-3 days during the admission and counseling process. I scored 474 in neet and got admitted to this college.

PGIMS Rohtak as everyone know is one of the oldest medical colleges in India. It is also one of the reputed colleges. It was given an A+ grade. It provides quality education to the students who thought it might be lacking a bit in infrastructure and extracurricular activities.
