Remarks

Management is very poor. Power is given to such a person who is stupid like they don't have time to talk to students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Collage is in about100 acres of campus and has a brilliant infrastructure. There is greenery in college is so much as compare to any other college. And proper hygienic things are used there is each separate block for each department. Every department has there own blocks.

Placement Experience

Placement is not quite good in college campus but in recent year students who gave an interview in university interview vet good opportunity and are able to fulfill.

College Events

Many events are celebrated in college like every department has its own function which they celebrate every year. And our college annual function Jashan is celebrated every year. And In recent days our sports function or athlete meet is going on. Students are Participating.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are 8 semesters in the degree of civil engineering 1st semester = 53000+ hostel rent 320. The + Service charge of hostel 4200 + diets in every month and for every semester they are increasing the fee of the hostel and try to include many things in the hostel and charge for that thing which is not provided to us.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have got the scholarship depending upon my +2marks that I have the score. Chief ministers scholarship from college.

Campus Life

Campus life is good as you know it's an engineering college so boys are comparatively more than girls. But we enjoy our time, work hard. But college is not as good as it seems from outside infrastructure is good but people who have power are shameless and ill-mannered.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rent is 3200 for the semester and we have to pay the service charge for 4200 per semester. After we have to pay the monthly bill of the hostel which is near about 3000 per months. After paying so much we are not able to use any electric appliance in the hostel. And hostels are unhygienic. They don't take care of the students.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very good. They are very helpful. They will help us better from the faculty staff.

Admission

I see an advertisement in the newspaper regarding admission. I went there and got a seat in college according to my senior secondary marks bases. It has a lot of here and there for getting a seat and a lot of paperwork. Thank god I scored good marks in +2 exams so I got a seat easily.

Faculty

The first thing I see bad there is faculty. Teachers in the first year are good. But moving to second-year teachers are not capable to teach us In the first year we got Ph.D. teacher but in the second year, we got 2016 pass out teachers. Such an incidence every faculty treats very badly to students. Most bad persons are Hostel Wardens.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
