- Management regarding some departments have very low engagement with the students.
- There are a lot of events are there during the class time due to which students have to sacrifice one of them.
- Classes timing are very hectic and we have to move in rush during morning.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main aspect of curriculum is providing enhanced and deep knowledge about my course and interest. The curriculum prepares me very well for real-world applications. The main drawback is more usage of Technology in studies like Projectors etc. The timing between the mid-term exams needs some gap to be conducted.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of companies visited there like Wipro, KPMG, PWC, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Vardhman Textiles etc. The roles depends upon the skills and capabilities of students and also the requirements of companies.
Placement Experience
Mainly, from the third semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Amazon, TCS etc. visited here and nearly about 9000 offers were made by all these companies in a year. Highest package:- 22-24 lakhs, Lowest package:- 4-5 lakhs Average Percentage of placed students here is 60-70%. To get a bright and highly reputed position in an MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a good thing that fees can't be increased for the students till the end of their course. The fees remain the same as we paid in the admitted year. I think the fees are affordable for the students of all classes. The students get scholarships depending on their capability. the university is conducting the pre-exam and on the basis of the score, a scholarship has been available. Yes, there is no doubt, that many companies visit the campus to hire students but hiring depends upon the skills, attitudes, and capabilities of students.
Campus Life
There are lot of festivals held here. There is a CU fest which will be held in March. There is a orientation program in starting of academic year. There are very Tashan Nites held here time to time. There is a lot of range and variety available in library. The technology is fully equipped with advance technology and equipments and projectors. There is a very big sports complex in outer part of campus. There is also a basket ball court inside the campus. There are various types of social groups are there like sparks club, Innovative club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms provide facilities like AC, Cooler, study table and chair, full lighting, full access to internet and ethernet access. Meal quality is 50-50%. Sometimes, Meal is good or sometimes bad. There is a simple process to register for a hostel. Just,we have to fill the form and pay the fees. And the room has been allotted. There is no idea to get a rented room or PG because it seems to be difficult in the morning to reach on time from a far distance.
Admission
The admission process is very simple in Chandigarh university. We have to just directly apply to the university forms and have to give a simple online CUCET exam. On the basis of marks, we have given scholarships. There is no cut-off marks to take admission here.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is might some low. No doubt, there is very much experienced faculty is present there but it becomes difficult for them to handle all students at one time. Faculty has very good knowledge of their subjects. The approaching to teachers and faculty is very easy. Even, teachers are also good in helping the students.
