Likes
- Taking into consideration that it may fall under tier 3 or tier 4 college, the infrastructure is comparatively good. You get 5 hostels and one girls hostel, bank, gym, canteen, lab building and academic building.
- The tech fests or other cultural activities keep talking place in regular interval which helps in overall development of a student.
Dislikes
- The teaching and learning environment as can be expected is not that great.
- Labs are quite good but the machines sometimes don't work properly which hampers the learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum designed by (before) AKU and now BEU is quite good. You learn a programming language in 1st sem itself and then engineering drawing in 2nd sem and dsa. Likewise it's good if we compare with the contemporary syllabuses of the college. It gives more credit to your internship and project which is good for industry friendly approach.
Internships Opportunities
There is a training and placement cell which claims to approach to the companies to provide the internship but I as a student have not seen any good company for a good role. Some very budding startups or some mid level one gives online opportunity but that too more in business development.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is very normal. It applies all the reservation facilities like sc/st students are required to pay less fee. They also get PFMS scholarship which very genuine. The hostel fee for one month is 1305 and you have to pay 4 times the development fee which is 2610.
Campus Life
The campus life can be rated medium . U get all sorts of facility nearby. Very large playgrounds, badminton court, sports club providing all sorts of sports. You get gym and canteen. Market is nearby around 2km. But there is issue regarding ATM because when you have to pay your hostel fees which is preferred in cash you have to go all the way to the town to withdraw it.
Admission
Admission process is very easy. You just have to show all the documents like the mail received,your score card, residential, income and your category specific if you belong to. Then there is medical certificate. Now due to opening of so many engineering colleges in bihar the availability of seats has increased . So you can get admission very easily.
Faculty
Generally here the teachers are not professor but assistant or associate professor are there. But some teachers are really great like here maths and operating system teacher is great. The students can reach up to teachers at any time to clarify the doubt, it's upto the students. The teachers do provide the mentorship as per their area and reach.
