Remarks

Overall the experience is great, however, they could improve a bit more on food. The hostel food is nice but they can make it fancier. Also during placement time, the college gets too serious. There is a lot of emphasis on placements which gets little strenuous for others. As a whole, the college knows how to acknowledge, encourage and value talent.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's my second year in college and I am loving my experience here. The best part is we have given practical learning too along with theoretical. We have industry inspired case studies which give us insight into real industry working, over and all its amazing to be here.

Placement Experience

4.5

One of the reasons I got admitted into this college is due to placements. I have heard a lot about college placements. My cousin had studied engineering here and got placed in a very reputed company with a rewarding salary package, I am preparing for the same.

College Events

5

Our college has scheduled fixed too host events every year. We have cultural events like Arohan & Lakshya conducted each year during late winter. We have various technical hackathons as well. American football is the most loved sport here, and everyone loves it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am admitted into the BCom Honors course whose fees varies from 30,000-50,000/- annually. This thirty thousand to fifty thousand fee is exclusive of caution money of five thousand (which is refundable) and of the hostel cost and other expenses. Generally, there aren’t major overhead expenses except for the hostel fee. This fee structure is exclusive of personal expenses which we tend to indulge in during college years.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, I did avail scholarship from the college. This scholarship is provided for tuition fee however it is subject to percentage and time constraints. Students are required to avail the same before Mid-August. As I had scored above 85% in 12th standard, I received 40% scholarship on tuition fee for my B.com.

Campus Life

3.5

As mentioned earlier, college focuses well on events and sports. My class has an almost equal ratio for girls and boys. Boys were a little more. We have project rooms to discuss and conduct various projects. The college hosts various competitions to encourage students to do better and enhance their capabilities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, I am living in Poornima University’s hostel. We have separate hostels for girls and boys and I have to say it is quite spacious. The rooms are big and the cleaning rooms are maintained and clean. The hostel environment is really hygienic and maintained.

Alumni/Alumna

I am in contact with many of my seniors. The college vibe is such which encourages interaction with others and seniors. As a result of events, we have built a strong relationship with seniors. They are really helpful whenever required. This college maintains and enjoys a strong alumni base where each year they conduct alumni meet to revive old relations.

Admission

I cleared my 12th education from my school and applied for Bachelor’s in Commerce at Poornima University as soon as the results came out. I got selected on merit basis. I was asked to submit original copies of 10th standard marks sheet and 12th standard mark sheet along with other necessary documents.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is extremely qualified. In fact, they are really helpful. Especially our professor, we can visit him anytime for any query. However, strict discipline is required around them. The infrastructure includes the Wi-Fi enabled campus, well-stocked library, and a computer lab.

Placement Experience:

Most B.Com students don’t get placed after college, and only a few land jobs with average salaries. Companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, or sometimes Reliance do hire, but the roles are usually in finance or sales, which aren’t very high-paying. Internships are pretty rare, and only a small number of students get them, mostly with local businesses. The college does have a center that helps students with things like writing resumes, exploring career options, and other basic career advice. They also organize small events or seminars, but it’s not very consistent. There’s a group that talks about start-ups and encourages innovation, but it doesn’t seem like many students take part. Overall, the opportunities are limited, and most students either continue studying or find their own way after graduating.

Placement Experience:

There are no placements at all, they will just say that you guys will get placed. Some local companies in Jaipur contact the college for internships. The stipend offered is Rs.10,000 per month. Only a few students who have scored above 70-80% the previous year are selected. The roles offered are accounting and sales. Placements are like they'll send you information from Internshala and ask you to apply for it. Few companies who want to hire from our college are paying 20,000 a month and it will be a sales job most probably. So most of us get out of this college and go for an MBA from a good college.
