Likes

Open and ragging free environment. Less crowd away from the city rush.
Affordable as compared to other colleges.
Faculty of mechanical engineering is nice and helpful. And have proper knowledge.

Dislikes

The management is not that good and is lazy.
The infrastructure is old and needs renovation.
The college is in a very remote area due to which students face transportation issues.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I have interest in Automobiles. Faculty to student ratio is : 2 PhD, M.Tech. They teach by sharing PDF notes and explain it in the class. There are two exams in 1 semester, first is mid semester examination and another is end semester examination. Mid - semester is moderately hard and end semester is hard.

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 175000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities include working in the company as intern for 6 months. You have to do 1 major and 3 minor projects in order to get placement. Stipend is around 10k to 20k. You will get tasks to complete during the internship.

Placement Experience

Placements are overall ok but average. Only a very small group of students get high package of more than 8 lakh per annum. Students can avail campus placements after 6th semester. Bosch, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Percentage of students getting placements is around 20 - 30%.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no course fees hike for your particular 4 year session. Cost to study is affordable than other colleges. I didn't get any scholarship, may get in the future. But there are scholarships which you can avail the benefits.

Campus Life

The Annual Fest and Tech Fest are combined and is called Celegance. It is conducted around February. You can avail all types of books in the library. Classrooms have projectors and all but the classroom condition must be improved. Sports activities are not that regular but happens .

Hostel Facilities

You will get 1 bed, 1 mattress , 1 table, 1 chair, 1 almirah and window curtains, wifi. But the wifi is not upto the mark so always keep your mobile data in backup Meal quality is okish, but yeah you will get used to it. You will get a mail with the allotment letter and it will have a form which you have to fill and then you will get a mail regarding the hostel and the fee structure.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

I gave CGET entrance examination of the college which can be applied through the college website. There is no application fees for CGET examination, It's held in online mode through your home. You can also apply through Jee Main marks.

Faculty

There are 40 faculties for 30 students in mechanical engineering. Faculties are either PH.D qualified or are studying PH.D. Teachers are ready to help on personal level and approachable almost any time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

An Honest Look at Life and Learning at CV Raman Global University

I chose CV Raman Global University over some other colleges I applied to mainly because it offered my preferred course with reasonable fees, decent infrastructure and an acceptable placement record. I had also applied to a few government and well-known private colleges, but I could not secure admission there due to higher cutoffs, strong competition and rank limitations in entrance exams. Compared to those colleges, CVRGU provided quicker confirmation, flexible admission timelines and a clear course structure, which made the decision easier. The admission process was smooth and student-friendly, based on eligibility criteria like minimum marks in Class 12 for UG courses, and it accepts exams such as JEE Main along with merit-based admissions. Comparing to different colleges such as iter or kiit universities then here you get good opportunity to participate in different clubs and show off their skill infront of the officials . Talking about placements then student will get fair opportunity but the thing is that if your score is less than 60% in 10th or 12th then you were not eligible for the campus drive .
