Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness it's pretty satisfactory. The syllabus has been designed in a way that it covers the importants aspects of the subject and it is to the point. Here we get a basic idea about the course and it can be also completed within the allocated time.

Internships Opportunities

3

I honestly have not been invested that much about the internships being provided as I am in first year. I have heard from my seniors about internships and the opportunities it gives. Also in the club's projects are being made by which we learn many new things.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students from 6th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Details regarding the name of companies visited and offers are available in the website. As I am in first year I have not gained that much knowledge regarding the placement scenario. The highest package was about 34 lpa last year. I have not examined the statistics much. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good placement simultaneously, In a long term I aspire to crack Gate exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Regarding the feeling details as it is a government college we have the advantage of having minimal fees with only computer science having self sustaining course thus a slight increase in the fees. Also our college provides merit scholarship to the meritorious students of each branch every year. Apart from that there are many other scholarships available with different eligibility criterias.

Campus Life

4

We got about 3 major fests in a year..Xtasy being the annual cultural fest, perception the annual technical fest, engineer's cup the annual sports fest. They are mostly held during the first 4 months of the year. Regarding the books, there is a wide range available and that too in a good amount so that there is no shortage. Many good facilities are provided and it's becoming more developed day by day. Many different types of sports are played, we got a large playground, also there are clubs actively functioning on extracurricular activities which is helpful for all round development of a student.

Admission

The admission process was smooth. The eligibility of the course was the Jee main rank achieved that year. The cut off list of the previous years were available in the website from which an approximate deduction could be done. I being from the general category did not available any reservation benefits apart from women quota, though students were also admitted on the basis of reservations. The jee main exam which formed the basis for admission was conducted in two phases and the best of two was considered finally. Regarding the entrance it was of medium difficulty. I personally don't think there were any issues in the admission process. And yes the application dates, fees, form etc are easily available in our college website.

Faculty

Overall the system is manageable. In particularly my branch the faculties are really experienced and been there for a long time..so it really becomes helpful in case there is any need...Regarding the faculty and student ratio I feel it is okay. With the 75% attendance criteria, the class remains full most of the time and sometimes the voice isn't audible still I have quite managed it so far.The teachers complety abide by the syllabus as is logical because the alloted time always turns out to be less for the given syllabus.Still they are approachable in case of any query or doubt solving. Some of the teachers are very much cooperative which makes things slightly easier. Also we can easily interact with our teachers...they are friendly enough but sometimes there are some of them who are not so much but it's manageable I feel..we cannot get everything from everywhere. Yeah that is all the insight that I can provide. Overall it's a better one compared to other colleges. Yeah that is all yes.

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.
