Likes
- Being a Topmost NIT It has very decent placements and connectivity of great alumini network who are CEOs of emerging companies. Aluminis help students in many ways like providing free platforms to their juniors and also they provide scholarships.
- It has a lush green campus spread over 800 acres with a variety of flora and fauna ; Peacocks roaming ,dancing at evening making chill . It has a great level of insfrastructure, labs with new technologies and machines and experienced faculties
- Along with study , One can learn many skills due to many active tech clubs , cultural clubs , sports clubs , and can work on their soft skills and have some really great experiences in Cultural /Tech Fests hosted by our College
Dislikes
- If You are a north Indian , It might be tough to decide whether you should come here or not because its located in the mid of tamil nadu 7 hours from chennai but You will find an intermixed culture that may make you learn so many things
- As Its in Tamil nadu , so 50% students are tamil speaking and rest 20-25% comprising telugu malyali and kannad speaking people , so you may feel a bit uncomfortable in start ; and you wont get Hindi speakers much so , All will be in English only..
- Summer is a bit painful here ; the sunlight hit directly here and it feels like absorbing all energy .
Course Curriculum Overview
This college provides B.Tech ,M.tech ,MBA ,MCA and many more courses that makes an individual job ready and have connection with 500+companies that give students internship oppurtunities and campus selection makes almost 90 -95% placements inside campus only .Rest others either join civil service or interested in Higher studies
Internships Opportunities
Some of the companies like Tata Steel,IBM, Zomato , Delloite , TCS , Infosys ,P n G offers a wide range of stipend from 20000 to 2.4 lacs per month and many projects and outcomes that they make the students to get prepared that helps for further PPO or placements
Placement Experience
From 7th sem companies start coming and hiring students. Like samsung visited and hired 7 students , Delloite hired 6-8 students, IBM hired 5 students and like that hundreds of companies visited. Highest packages of companies are like 50 lpa , 62lpa , 45lpa ,36lpa and average of companies be like 13lpa , 16 lpa, 18 lpa ,15lpa, 10 lpa If no company visits, still we are eligible to aplly on top MNCs as we are NIT grads with top notch education and skill trained with sharp mind and quick learner skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
In IITs and NITs there are fee waiver criteria on the basis of income class Students Below 5 LPA parental income are eligible for remission of 2/3 of tution fees. And below 1LPA parental income has full remission on tuition fees Tution fees : 62500 per semester Hostel + Mess fees : 45000 per semester Other miscellanious charges including library , hospital , festival charges , campus development fees and many more : 2000 per year Approximately a normal student can complete the college in 10 lacs with fooding and lodging Below 5 Lpa category students : in approx : 6.5 lacs for 4 yrs of college Below 1 LPA : can complete college in 5 lacs only
Campus Life
Festember , The Annual fest of NIT trichy Generally held in the month of september, And Pragyan techfest of NIT Trichy that is ranked as second Most popular techfest in india as per the data of 2023 Is held in the month of January or February and NITTFEST our departmental fest happens. In the month of march. There are a wide range of journals and books and magazines in our library Call students to self study or clear Their academic doubts or for any extra interests. It has a Well, established foods club also participate in intern. IT. And. Students get enough opportunity to improve their extra curricular activities. Apart from that, we have some social clubs also that promote individual culture And inspire us to live as a whole. Improve togetherness for social interaction and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides a well established hostel and Miss services for a student. And they serve good food and we have options for south and north indian mess Hostel room has all basic needs that a student should have from well maintained bathrooms to wifi services
Admission
Jee mains qualification is important, as per reservation you can get this college under the following rank for specific categories General - under 20k OBC - under 30k Sc/ST - under 1 lac rank and also 20% seats reserved for Females Qualifying exam: JEE MAINS has 2 attempts in a year
Faculty
As Its a topmost NIT so no doubt the teachers are well experienced and well qualified in their career . But Mostly the faculties are tamils or south Indians , so Initially one can face some issues or communication due to their tamil accent , but within a month you get accustomed to the tone and everything will be fine and you can notice a better English listening and speaking skills
