- Diversity in terms of ethnicities and languages help you understand different facets of personalities. Meeting people from diverse backgrounds help you learn more bout yourself and grow.
- Infrastructure is modern and well planned. The atmosphere inside the campus is relaxing, Classrooms are air conditioned. Whole campus is neat and clean.
- Friendly campus and helpful faculties. The teaching methods of faculties are too good. Professors are well equipped with subject knowledge. They make good interaction with students.
Dislikes
- Like most of the colleges in India, this college too lacks psychological counselling facilities in the campus. Many students become prone to depression and anxiety after a certain period.
- Its too expensive for middle class families.
- The Vadapalani campus is too small compared to other campuses.
Course Curriculum Overview
The four year curriculum starts with basic mathematics and basic sciences in first year. As the semester progresses, the course starts to expand. The course also includes subjects like economics, management, foreign language like French, Japanese and personality development. In recent times this is understood the course might have expanded to include subjects like AI, ML, Digital technology which helps in solving real world problems. There are total of eight semester exams and eight model exams. Apart from that there are mid semester tests.
Internships Opportunities
The college in its capactity takes students for Industrial visits in other states. It regularly informs students about tech fest and job fair held in other colleges. The students are advised to complete one internship till the sixth semester which would help is placement.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester onwards, students become eleigible for campus placements. Durig 2013, almost 50-60 companies visited the campus. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc takes placements in bulk numbers. The average package was Rs 3.6 lakhs then. The placement percenatge was quite good then. Almost 70% of studenst were placed. the college also assists in off campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete cost of eduction dutring 2009-13 was almost Rs 10 lakhs which included accomodation facilites for first two years. In recent time, it is understood to have increased more. Scholarships are available for students. One could get information about it through enquiry. The campus placements start from seventh semester. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE ,EY etc recruit in large numbers.
Campus Life
The campus hosts many cultural and tech-fests. Fests like ABHIGYAN, and many others are help. Cultural programs are also held annually. The college has a big auditorium which host many talks including inspirational by eminent personalities. The campus in vadapalani has swimming pool while in main campus the campus is huge to many sports infra facilities.
Hostel Facilities
The accomodation facility provides one bed and a cupboard. One big road has accomodation of four students. The room is attached with a washroom. The accomodation provides local meals as well as north Indian meals. Meals are freshly served. It provide sweets and ice cream too. There are facilties of tea and coffee too.
Admission
One should be intemediate or 10+2 qulaified to be eligible in common entrance exxamination. In 2010s. it used to conduct SRMEEE all over the country. The qualified candidates were called for counselling. The application form is found at it website in admission section. The college also helps in availing bank eductaion loan during counselling process.
Faculty
Faculties are friendly and have expertise in their field. There are 60 students in one classroom and a one section is provided with nine to ten faculties. They are supportive and encourage students. They also guide students if they want to pursue their further education in foreign universities. Each faculty has their own chamber and during college hours any student can approach them and gets their doubts solved.
