Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is highly relevant by covering key aspects of sustainable tourism. This influenced my decision to choose this course.the curriculum adequately prepares students for real world applications by incorporating hands on projects. The area for improvement in the curriculum could include more emphasis on geographic information system to better equip students for emerging trends in the field. The frequency and timing of exams are reasonable although adjusting difficulty levels to better reflect real world scenarios could enhance the assessment process

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internship opportunities are available for various courses at the college but Geography internships may not be very useful as it is not provided by the college. But in tourism and travel management students are required to approach companies or institutions themselves.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students typically become eligible for campus placements from their 6th Semester. The highest package is 6.5 LPA and the average package is 4 LPA. Name of the companies visited Wipro and TCS and Ford and Infosys. My plan after getting the degree would be to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides abundant placement opportunities, with eligibility typically starting in the 6th semester. The highest package reaches 7 LPA the average stands at 4LPA for under graduates.Renowned companies such as Wipro ford TCS Infosysand others actively recruit from the campus.Despite these opportunities, the post graduation plan involves pursuing further education.

Campus Life

4

The campus life at this college is dynamic and enriching, with various communities like NCC and NSS and Scrub society and Innovation club, student engagement with credit point as incentives. There are various sports facilities such as multiple grounds and courts such as basketball and tennis and kabaddi.College is renowned for year round festivals with ample opportunities for students involment. There is well stocked libraries which provides a tranquil space for study.overall the college offers a plethora activities and amenities, ensuring a pleasant campus experience.

Admission

The admissions process involved two main phases: An online application followed by an offline verification at the college admission office. Online We provide qualification details Made registration payments And selected courses, Paying for each Individually. Upon selection Confirmation emails Prompted full semester payment Typically around 49000. Offline Verification With parental Involvement Ensured document Authenticity. A Notable challenge was the additional requirement for CBSE board students to obtain Madras University authorization prolonging the process by approximately 10 days

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio at this college is good.with small class there is more personalised interactions between students and professors. The faculty members have extensive experience in their respective fields .the faculty also equips students with real World perspectives.I have been particularly impressed by the dedication of faculty to teaching and mentorship. They go above and beyond to engage students through dynamic teaching methods.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
