MAR IVANIOS COLLEGE: Pros & Cons

The Bcom course provided here in MIC makes the students well prepared for the real world with practical activities such as internship programs, computerised accounting, journal ledger based projects,busy fact initiatives which is an initiative started by the commerce department which helps students in understanding the basics and daily of a business in real time, all make students well equipped for the outside worlds Exams are conducted every 3months with internal exams followed by an external exam

Bcom Aided is my opted course, only an exam fees is paid every sem and the total fees for 3 years comes under rs 8000 added with books for each sem which are provided by The college and can also be bought from other external sources according to the convenience of the student Scholarships are provided for other backward classes and those who are economically backward too But a down side is that the placement cell here is very weak and not much placements are provided from here

The campus life here in Ivanios is very happening There are programs organised by both clubs as well as The college union. Mainly The college union plays a huge role in program organizing Namely The union day, arts day, film fest,interdepartmental sports tournaments,food fest etc. The college fest or The Ivano Fest is one of the most auspicious events of The year named as of the best college fests in kerala. The ivano fest is the best of its kind Other than these the Ivano Basketball Cup is an inter college basketball tournament conducted in Ivanios The library has a wide range of books which go from philosophy to physics, history to maths etc. Books which provide information and reference about most of all topics are available in the library

The College has mainly 3 hostels Bethany hostel for boys as well as girls Alphonsa hostel for girls St Thomas mens hostel for men St Thomas hostel is the main college hostel provided by the college for boys Here only single rooms are provided Along with good bathroom facilities A good food menu with both veg and non veg options Hostel fees for 3 years is 2,50,000 both food and room rent

Those who have passed the 12th grade are eligible for the course Application forms can be collected directly from the college or through the college website, The whole admission process can be done online There are many reservation benefits such as significant change in fees according to category as well as economic status Exams are conducted at the end of every sem that is in every 3 months. Exam difficulty is moderate it is neither too easy nor too hard The admission process do not require any improvements
