I wrote SRMJEE entrance exam and got seat in merit and I have interest in electronics so opted that course .

Ours is a private university . Here we don't get only thoery knowledge but also learn practical applications of it .

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in ICF(INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY) and my stipend was 2500 for 15 days. There I learned about electrical wiring done in the train . Got to know many things how practically genrator works and types of loco motives .

Placement Experience

We get many companies in our college . We get core companies and IT as well . Core companies like -L&T- their packages be 6LPA and many more In IT field - we get HCL ,WIPRO ,CTS ETC their packages be 3.5LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1,85,000 is the fee structure and it is tution fee + extra curricular activities .15000 for books and 15000 for carrer development .

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes educational loan is given and SRM is linked with city union bank . And scholarship is also given for toppers ,for handicapped people , for people who are good in sports and for SC and ST people.

Exam Structure

In a semester we have 2 cycle tests and a model exam and then semester . In case of lab ,it is chilled out ,we have enough time to complete our experiments and we have a model practicals before sem .

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
