- Food , I don't like the hostel food specially if u r vegetarian u can face some problem
- Writing lab record everybody knows this in engineering one student writes the assignment and the whole batch copies from him
- Peer , there are only odia students in the campus u will not find any other caste in the campus if u are a introvert kind of student u can feel left out
Course Curriculum Overview
.There are two semesters in one year .In one semester there are two internal exams ,quiz test ,suprise test and lab viva . Core CSE topics like os, compiler design , DSA and theory of computation are thought . There are clubs which organises workshop for students to give them experience in latest technology
Internships Opportunities
In second year there is an internship evaluation where students have to do some courses and give presentation based on their learning and panel will ask questions based on the topic In third or fourth year u can do paid internship which generally pays 30000 to 40000
Placement Experience
From 4th year u can apply for jobs Average package in CSE is 4 lakhs per annum In electrical it is more due to high demand nowadays it is around 5 to 5.5 lakh Last year in CSE from 60 students 48 got placed This year as it is recession only 10 to 15 students got placed
Fees and Financial Aid
College course fees is around 30000 per year Hostel and mees fees is around 40000 per year There are lot of scholarship opportunities like post matric scholarship,labour card scholarship. Etc Students can do paid internship in 3rd or 4th year Students who face some financial problem can get discount in hostel and mees fees
Campus Life
There are clubs for every social activity like chess club ,anchoring club ,dance club ,acting club etc There is a annual cultural fest exuberance which happen around March There is also annual inter college sports fest named shaurya and inter branch sports competition named arena Techfest happen with exeburance There are two sections in Library circulatory and reference section In circulatory u can issue the book and in reference u can study in air conditioned room till 9 pm
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 boys hostel in campus Both veg and non veg food is provided in mess First year hostel food is bad but it improves as u got to 2nd year as u change ur hostel There are only Indian style bathroom in first year hostel There are some western type toilet in 2nd year hostel As hostel 3 is new all facilities are mostly functional As students pass out they break things as no action is taken which led to problems as there is proper maintenance of facilities
Admission
.I took admission in parala maharaja engineering college in btech course .It is a four year course and admission to this course happen through jee main .Application form for counseling can be found in ojee website . Application fees is 1000 rupees . Jee main examination take place every year . There are multiple counseling rounds in ojee
