Remarks

The college was good. The management was very helpful.

Entrance Preview

It was near to my residence and my many friends were in the same college. I also heard that its a good college for study but this college dont have that much reputation and fam. Since i am from a poor family, this was the suitable college for me for my further studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The couse carriculum was definetly as per the sylabus of the university. It was mumbai university coursr. We had subjects like accounts, economics, secratorial practice, business organisation and communication, hindi and english. All subject were for 100 marks.

Internships Opportunities

No. There was no such things. Actually, in our syllabus, such things were not compulsory. So no internship was provided.

Placement Experience

3.5

Nothing was as placement and job opportunity. Just have to complete the graduation and then you yourself have to search the job. So there was always a botheration on students to score good marks so that we can get a good job with good package. Because of no college support.

College Events

3

There was only an annual day function as event. Rest the sporys day and cultural day we use to celebrate. We also participated in the inter college sports like cricket and volleyball. On annual day, we use to have out side lication and almost 2 days function.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was a very economical fee structure of the college. For my entire graduation in a span of three years, i spend around 5000 only as college fees. But we need to spent more on classes and study materials. Library was there but with limited books. So.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. No facility such as scholarship or loan was offered. As it is mentioned above, the fee sructure was less.

Campus Life

2

There was a gender ratio of around 60:40 (boys : girls) the extra curricular activities includes, athelits, sports like cricket, footbsll and bolleyball. Then singing competition, etc. Almost the activities for which they gets the students compatible and available.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No hostel facility was there in the college. All the students were staying local in Mumbai. There was no mess as was no hostel. Only a canteen facility was there. For the breaks between the lectures or half break, we use to take snacks from the canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

Actually our batch was the second senior batch of the college. Secondly were the most active senior of the college for juniors.

Exam Structure

It was 200 marks paper for all subjects. We had to score minimum 35% marks to pass out. There was ATKT system, where for 3 subjects we were allowed to keep terms and were permitted to proceed to the next standard. Means we were allowed to study two years simulteneously.

Admission

I submitted my marksheet alongwith the admission form. There was admission list to be displayed. In tge third list, my name appeared for admission confirmation. Then i submitted my another documents as longwith fees and i got the admission in the first year of b.com.

Faculty

3

The faculties for all subjects were nice. Since it was not a big reputed college, there were few limitations of the funds so definitely, according to the payment to the faculties, the grade or quality og study will be. But overall, it wad goid. Rest on the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
