What Students Say
Likes
- The things which I liked is the studios environment. Faculty members are quite good and the lab teaching is also appreciable.
- The campus has a canteen and a temple which I liked. There's also a big pond in the centre of the college in which fishes and ducks resides.
- There is greenary all over in the college which feels better and provides an eco friendly environment with peace.
Dislikes
- The campus area is quite small as there is no area of sports.
- There are too much rules which are quite not necessary in a college as the rules are mostly of a school level.
- Some of the faculty and the management members don't behave well like they don't understand the problem of the students sometimes.
Course Curriculum Overview
BCA is similar to btech as BCA is based on programming and software development. This was the reason I chose this course and this is what I'm interested in. In my opinion about BCA in this college is that whatever the important aspects are required to have a good knowledge is being taught in this college. I would like to see improvements in the Project and synopsis as well as some faculty members needs to be replaced as they are stuck in the primitive method of teaching. Semester exams are conducted in a period of 6 months and in between a semester a mid term exam is also held. There will be 5 semester exams and in the 6th semester, you are required to work on a project and appear in the viva examination. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. Management in the examination process is very good.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I took the admission the fees of the BCA course was 144000 but due to the accreditation of NAAC the course fees has been increased to 184000. There was no such hike in the past years but due to the accreditation course fees have been increased. There's no such regularity in the hiking of course fee or tuition fees. I'm a local resident living near to the college so for me I have advantages not to take hostel or rent a room. For the Library department, if you took a book and don't return on time you will be charged as fine. The college is in Bihar and there's a scheme in Bihar known as Bihar Student Credit Card (BSCC) which will be very helpful in paying the fees of the course and it is totally accepted in this college. I don't see any campus employments.
Campus Life
There is an annual festival which is on 2 Feb which is celebrated every year and is quite interesting. But other than this there are no any other festivals or fests held. There is a wide range of book which are available in the Library and you can easily access them as per your course and requirements. The classrooms are provided with good quality benches and with a green board where the teachers have to write using a chalk. There is no smart board but there are CCTV cameras. There are no extracurricular activities in this college, you just have to focus on the study. To what I know there are no such student run social groups or clubs.
Admission
I'm a BCA student so I'll be providing information related to BCA. Eligibility to apply in BCA: Your 12th stream must be Science (Maths). Minimum Percentage Required: 50 percentage in 12th boards Where to apply the form? -> You can apply on the official site of the college or you can get the admission form in the college as per your convenience. Application fees: ?1500 Application date: From start of June till the end of July Exams are conducted on a specific date which is informed to the applications via sms and instructions are given to the students. The timing of exam may vary as in a day there are two shifts of exams. One shift is 9:00 am to 11:30 am and Second shift is: 12:30 am to 3:00 pm Difficult level: Moderate ( not too hard) Suggestion for improvement: I would like to increase the cutoff percentage in the admission process and the level of questions during the exams .
Interview Experience
Yes, there was a test which was basically an objective type question test and after that there was also an interview in which you'll be asked questions on the basis of your 12th marks like for me I scored some good marks in Physics and Maths so I was asked questions related to these subjects. You would have to focus on the basics of class 10th and 12th to qualify the written test and interview. I focused on the basics and qualified with ease.
