Course Curriculum Overview :

I joined the course because i like programming and can provide lot of job opportunities. The curriculum contains only basics and only contains a bit of industrial applications. The academics is so much outdated as it's lacks industrial application. The areas to be improved is to provided more industrial oriented subjects and include applications. The teaching method is very outdated. The class room doesn't even have a projector. There's only a black board in the class. The teaching is mostly effective and ideas are passed in a good manner. The sem exams are conducted 2 times a year about 5 month apart and each sem consists of 2 internals conducted 1 month apart.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship are provided through faculty members. Am doing a internship in Ai through the company Teachnook. It's very informative and valuable. It help in getting a lot of industrial knowledge. The project i have to do is to create a chatbot using NPL and ML. Apart from Ai a lot of subjects are available for internship like ml, internet of things, cyber security, etc.

Placement Experience :

Eligibility of placement is 7 th and 8th sem. Many companies like Talrop, Spiders, Global Quest, etc are recruiting students from this college. The highest package offered till now is 6 lakhs per annum and the average package is 4 lakhs per annum. About 30 to 45 percent of the students are getting placed every year. My plan is to do add on courses along with this course and look out for a better job opportunity myself.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tution fee varies according to the eligibility and financial background of the student. The average fee of a student is 43500 including special fee. The total costs for the completion of the course is around 6 to 7 lakhs including tution fee, service fee, hostel fee and other charges. The scholarships are provided based on the eligibility of the student and financial background. There's a organization that producing lamps in the college. That's the only campus job within the college.

Campus Life :

Events are generally not conducted in this college as comparing to other colleges. The events that are conducted only lasts for some time and not enjoyable. Annual events are not given that much priority. A moderate amount of books ans journals are available in the college library. The classroom facility is very bad. Projectors are not even available for classroom only have a black board. So teaching via visualization is not provided. Sports and arts are conducted just as a prgm. They are not given that much priority. NSS is the social group in the college. IEEE, IEDC, GDC, GDSC are the available clubs in the college. These clubs provide good knowledge about the industries for the students, thus providing them good job opportunities and industrial knowledge.

Hostel Facilities :

The college hostel for the girls is inside the campus and each room is accommodated with 8 students. The boys hostel is outside the campus and is a rented building containing 8 apartment. Each apartment consists of 2 bed rooms, hall, kitchen and a balcony. The meal quantity is just okay and the quality is good. The food menu normally contains meals, biriyani, dosa, chappati, etc. The registration process for hostel is done during admission. You can also register after the class is started that's not a problem. The locality of the hostel is near kunnukara junction.

Admission :

The eligibility of the course is high school pass out. The application for the admission can be found online for management or NRI seats for merit seats you have to qualify entrance exam keam. Merit seats can provide you various scholarship and other things. The keam exam is high school based and the difficulty level is medium. The application fee of keam is around 100 rupees. The area for improvement in admission process is to minimize the time taking for the procedure.

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
