B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture course curriculum is semester based course in which equal emphasis is given on both pratical and theory part. Curriculum is developed by ICAR committee based on modern innovations and research done by scientists at IARI, New Delhi and is updated with time. One needs to pass seperately in practical as well as theory exam as per the credit or marks the subject holds. In 7th semester you are exposed to practical experience by means of RAWE- which is a kind of rural internship which gives you chance to apply all learnings of subjects that studied from 1st to 6th semester and then in 8th semester you are exposed to business modules that prepares you to commercially test your skills in real day world. Overall the whole curriculum is easy to moderate and one tends to enjoy the practical part more .

Internships Opportunities

Rural Internship in form of RAWE gives students hands on experience to the rural setup of farm land and equips the students with practical skills and knowledge. Students usually gets stipend of around 2500 rs at the end of internship.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Tuition fee is revised each year by the university to which your college is affiliated and you are given scholarships and freeships as well as fee waiver as per your category and financial status. Complete fee for 2019 batch of ours was 65000 for open category students and their were category wise fee for every person.

Campus Life

Our college have 2 fests around January which are most anticipated ones in whole city-Techlons and Agri Sprouts.Techlons is a 5 day fest which includes sports technical and non technical event like Robo race, model presentation,paper presentation etc. Various colleges around the city participate in various competitions.Our college has 10000 capacity auditorium for events which caters to various events needs perfectly. Agri-sprouts event is annual gathering event of the college which is also much anticipated event of the year

Admission

For applying for college's that come under all 4 Universities(In Maharashtra) that provides Agriculture and allied degree you need to give MH-CET exam with PCB/PCM as subjects. After giving that exam a merit list is published by the Central Addmission Authority that come under CET Cell based on your marks/percentile your are given ranks.Then they ask you to verify documents and to submit your college preference as per your choice and once you done with it ,they then starts allotting colleges in subsequent rounds as per your ranks, reservation provisions and college choices

The agriculture course is vast and has many job opportunities in the government and private sectors. For 100 students there are about 20 to 30 teachers. All faculties are highly qualified like PhDs in their mastered subjects. Exams are in semester wise if you study with continuity and attend classes regularly, the exams will be much simpler for you.

Remarks:

U will earn a good learning experience here both theoreticaly and practically . This is only Agricultural college under MPKV rahuri having personal bio agent producing laboratories which officially provides bio pesticide and bio fungicide to the farmers at minimal cost
