Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen Chemistry Honors and it was a practical based subject, so there was a lot of emphasis on Practical education. Some research is done by the college PhD students on various fields
Internships Opportunities
The internship was done during holidays in local companies. It was not mandatory and no money was paid, only a certification was provided which helped in getting better placements later.
Placement Experience
Most of the students got placed in several institutes. About 60-70% placement was always there. Companies from Murshidabad and Kolkata visited for placement. The Average starting package was around Rs. 7000, but higher package was also available.
College Events
Yearly College Cultural was conducted. It was Sponsored by Local Business Agents and Companies. The average footfall was more than 1000. The college provided good cooperation in the events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee was Rs. 75 per month and the semester fees was Rs. 200. There was 4 semesters in the course, conducted by Calcutta University. It was affordable as it was a Govt. College.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no scope for Scholarship or Loan in the college.
Hostel Facilities
Only Girls Hostel Facility was there. Room was shared by 3 girls and was well maintained. Girls were not allowed to take PG. The hostel food was not upto the mark, but it was managable.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni Network is not bad. Some students have kept in touch, mostly the localites. Social Media is now helping many of us to reconnect.
Faculty
The faculty were mostly PhD scholars and were very good and friendly. Taking tutions were not allowed so they taught us very well.
