Dislikes

The hostel and the food provided there is quite bad
The staff at the account section is kind of horrible
There are two washrooms but are far from the normal class room blocks

I was into Psychology from my childhood and that the reason why i chose the subject and the reason i chose this college is because of the campus environment and the supportive teachers you get. The staff are the most supportive people you get in a college

Internships Opportunities

The internship are oppurtunities for course like hotel management are more. They help you in getting into 4 star hotels and also for bca courses they help you get into reputed IT companies. There is department called palcement and internship cell for this purpose

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees depends on the course you take. Art course are on a range of 50000 for students from karnataka and 60000 for outside karnatak students and 70000 for international students. Course like bcom and bba has less fees compared to arts stream

Campus Life

The overall experience with the campus is satisfactory because you have got a lot of area to explore and as it was built by the kings the infrastructure is quite old but very very strong.we have smart classes and all such things .

Admission

The admission process was quite simple. The application forms were available in the front office and filling it we were directed to the office staff where you select your course. After selecting the course you can pay the fee advance and book the seats for the course. I was asked to submit my previous markscards before admission.

Performing Arts have more of practical things as from acting to direction we are taught everything. History and Theory as some theory part and the kind of career path that our course provides, I think for students interested in this, should join our course at Christ University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

St claret - an honest review

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

I we talk about our campus, our is very nice and clean, there are big tree and gardens in the campus for pur air. If we talk about education system in RPD college, The education system also beutiful and disciplined. In that college professor are very kind and experienced and there teaching methods and skills are very good to improve a student and they guide us very well to prepare for our final exams or competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.

I had applied to st Joseph's college of Commerce in mysore. I did not get rejected from that college and the fees is same as it is in st philomena's that is 45000 per year including all other expenses. I did not go there as they did not provide acca with bcom they had only cma and ca along with bcom. The admission process in my college is quite simple and easy they guide with every step. Great college experience

I haven't applied to many colleges in Kerala or outside. My parents decided to choose this college considering its reputation as a good college. Compared to other colleges I believe this college is mostly suitable for a study-based environment, suitable for anyone looking for further studies. So as a person looking for studies mainly my choice was this college. For a person who needs placement after a bachelor's I don't think this is a better fit, because the placement opportunities are limited to some selected courses here.
